Welcome to this tutorial about how to upload multiple files into a Moodle course.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to combine multiple files into one compressed zipped file,
how to upload this compressed file into Moodle,
and how to unzip the file within a folder in Moodle.
The first step is to zip the files you want to upload.
To do this, select the files you want to upload, right click,
go to “send to”, and choose Compressed (zipped) folder.
Notice that the zip folder is placed in the same folder as the files were
and is named after the first file.
If you want to change the name of the zip file,
right-click on it, select Rename, and type in a new name.
We will call this folder: Folder A.
Next, go to your course’s homepage.
Then, enter the Files area by clicking the Files link in the Administration block.
Now, you are in the Files area and can upload the zip file you have created.
Click Upload a file button.
In the Upload a file page displayed, click the Browse button.
Then Browse to find the zipped file you created and click Open.
Next, click the Upload this file button.
The zip file is now uploaded and displayed in the Files area.
To unzip, click the Unzip link next to the zip file.
Click OK.
Now, the files are unzipped and their links are displayed in the Files area,
ready to be used in your Moodle course.
If you want to delete the original zip file after unzipping it,
select the file, click With chosen files drop-down menu,
and select Delete completely.
That’s all there is to uploading multiple files.
We hope that you’ve found this tutorial helpful and will take advantage of this Moodle feature.
