It's impossible to miss the three Pi'illos beneath Pi'illo Castle since you need to free
them in order to progress with the story. All three are in the underground area when
the bridge to Mushrise Park collapses. The first can be found in the second area
by heading north. The second is discovered in the same area,
further along the path. The third and final one is right before the
pipe you need to use to exit the underground. Use it to reach Mushrise Park.
Beans are some of the hardest items to find in the game, given their nature to blend in
with the rest of the environment. And though you may spot places where some are before
you earn the Mole Mario ability, I'm not going to start with the Dozing Sands.
Instead I'll begin with Pi'illo Blimport, or as is the case here, the areas directly
surrounding Pi'illo Castle. There are six Beans to find here so let's get to it.
Go left of entrance to Pi'illo Castle. You'll find a Bros. Bean near a Zeekeeper statue
with a purple gate. Head north to the next area. A Bros. Bean
is buried in the corner section of the lake. In the dirt patch nearby you can find a Defense
Bean. Run past the entrance to Mount Pajamaja to
find the fourth and fifth Beans buried in the dirt patches on the other side.
Go south into the next area and you'll immediately spot the final Bean in the Blimport.
It's hard to miss the first Attack Block piece as it's automatically given to you when you
rescue the Toad. The second is directly to your left. Use the
springboard to reach it. Travel south from there to see the third one.
Hit the springboard nearby twice to get to it.
The fourth Attack Block is in the center. Use the springboard on the east side to launch
yourself to it. In the next area, you can find the fifth piece
by using the springboards to make a stairway. Hit the springboard in the southwest corner
of this area twice in order to reach the sixth piece.
In the southmost point of the area, hammer the right blue springboard once and the red
one twice to obtain the seventh Atttack Block. By hitting the springboard in the southeast
corner, you will launch yourself back into the previous area, destroying the rocks around
the eighth piece. After getting it, use the nearby springboard to return.
Use the springboards north of the ninth Attack Block to get inside the rock wall. Hit the
left blue one once to form stairs to the red one, which you then hit twice to launch yourself
inside the wall. When you go to the next area to the east,
a story sequence will occur where the Toad from before gives you the tenth and final
piece. This will unlock the 3D Red Shell Bros. Attack for Mario.
Getting Luigi's first Bros. Attack is as simple as following the story until you rescue Brickle.
He will thank you by giving you all ten Attack pieces for Luigi's 3D Green Shell move.
In Dreamy Mushrise Park, the first Attack Block is right beside the Save Point. You
can't miss it. Continuing on, you'll find the second Attack
piece to right of the two Question Blocks that you can blow to the foreground.
The third piece can be found in the next area after blowing the platform Mario has to use
to continue to the right. You will see the fourth one as soon as you
enter the next area. It's above the rotating platform.
The fifth Attack Block is to the right of a green pipe in the area after bouncing on
the flower buds. After going into the green pipe, you'll immediately
see the sixth piece on the first platform. Continuing along the path in this area, you
should come across the seventh Attack Block near the longest orange pipe.
You'll automatically get the eighth piece when you successfully launch Dreamy Brickle
up to the same platform as Mario. The ninth piece can be seen as soon as you
enter the next area. It's on the opposite side of the rotatable stairway.
Dreamy Brickle will give you the tenth and final Attack Block when he goes to confront
some monsters. This will unlock the first Luiginary Attack: the Luiginary Ball.
Mushrise Park is where you'll have to start searching for hidden Pi'illos though some
you'll find automatically as the story progresses. The first Pi'illo is directly right of where
you first meet Brickle. This one needs to be rescued in order to obtain the hammers.
Go to the area on your left by breaking the rocks and make your way up to the Pi'illo
Castle overlook. Jump down onto the cliff and head to the left to find the second Pi'illo.
You'll also find the third Pi'illo automatically as it's given to you after defeating Grobot.
This will rescue Eldream. The fourth cannot be found until you return
to Mushrise Park to clear rocks for Brickle. In the southern area, use the cannon to clear
the rocks on the right cliff and use the drill jump to travel north. Then use the spin jump
to get on the left side and find the Pi'illo. Return to the left of Brickle's home and use
the ball jump to get onto the high cliff. Continue left into the next area to find a
clearing containing the fifth and final Pi'illo. It can be a little tricky to find all 22 Beans
in Mushrise Park since there are multiple paths to get around. This may not be the best
order, but this will net you all the Beans. The first Bean can be found on your right
as soon as you enter from Dozing Sands. Go through the gate to find the next Bean in
a dirt patch near the breakable rock. In the area with the Pi'illo Castle lookout,
go right into the next area while on the cliff. On the other side you'll come across a Defense
Bean. Go south to the area with the broken Zeekeeper
fountain. You'll find the fourth Bean in a patch of flowers near the cobblestone path.
Head towards the fountain and you can find the next Bean near the two Toads.
The next four Beans are all clumped together in a clearing south of Brickle's Hut.
Go back to the fountain area and take the northeastern path. In the curved section,
you'll find the tenth Bean. You'll find the next Bean near the eastern
exit of the area where you first found the Hammers.
In the same area, south of the small bridge, is a red Yoshi. And next to him is a Power
Bean. Head back down south to the fountain area.
The thirteenth Bean is near the south exit on the left side.
The next few Beans can't be obtained until you help Brickle clear rocks. You'll find
it in the northeastern corner of the southern area.
Go to the other area with all the rocks that need destroyed and use the ball jump to get
on top of a hill with a Mario Block and a Question Block. Directly below those are two
more Beans. Continue right to find the seventeenth Bean
near the breakable rock. Head to the southwestern corner of the area
to find a small section filled with clovers. In the center of them is a dirt patch with
the next Bean. Return to the fountain area and use the ball
jump to get on the western cliff. You'll immediately see the Bean Spot.
Go west across the bridge and you'll come across a Speed Bean.
The next bean is found in the area right before Somnom Woods. You need to use the ball jump
to reach it. The final Bean (and I know I'm dumb for missing
this one for so long) is in the area before heading south to Dozing Sands. It's right
next to a Toad and a red sign. The first Attack Block in the Dozing Sands
can be found in the northwest corner of the first completely sandy area.
You can obtain the second piece once you learn the Mole Mario ability. In the same area that
you learn the move, travel to the southeast corner, use it to go under the gate, and find
the Attack Block. In the drill training area, jump on top of
the discarded machinery to find the third piece on the eastern cliff.
To find the fourth block, travel to the southern part of the first drill track area and use
Mario's mini ability to go to the western area. Fall off the platform and go south to
find the Attack Block. In the same area, get back on the raised section
and travel along it until you find the fifth piece.
Going south from the first drill track area, use Mario's mini ability to squeeze through
the hole and get the sixth piece. In the middle of this area, jump up the wooden
platforms to find the seventh Attack Block. Follow the drill track to the southwest. In
the center southern tip you'll find the eighth piece.
Travelling to the northern area, you can find the ninth Attack Block in the northern corner
by jumping on the discarded machinery. The tenth and final Attack Block can be found
once you use the drill platform to jump the tracks into the westernmost area. This will
unlock Luigi's Fire Flower Bros. Attack. Once you reach Dreamy Dozing Sands, you can
find the first Attack Block in the area directly after the Save Point. Jump up the platforms
to reach it. The second piece can be found after traveling
up the drills and entering the first area to your right.
Return to the drills and use them to jump to the platforms on the top left. There you'll
find the third piece. Get back on the drill and use your centrifugal
force to make the jump to the platform on the top right containing the fourth Attack
Block. In the next area, you can find the fifth piece
if you travel all the way to the right. You'll find the sixth Attack Block when you
travel left of the area where the spirit of the Dream Stone sleeps. It's in the top left
corner. In the area with three drills above a bed
of spikes, you can find the seventh piece by using centrifugal force to jump to the
top left platform. Take the moving platform down to find the
eighth Attack Block. In the area after using the Luiginary Tower
to make a path, you can find the ninth piece on the top left platform.
The tenth and final piece is in the same room on the right side. This will unlock the second
Luiginary Attack: the Luiginary Stack. There are eleven Pi'illos in total in the
Dozing Sands. The first can be found in the area where you're taught the mini-Mario and
Mole Mario abilities. Use Mole Mario on the left side and hammer the cactus it's teetering
on to access it. This Pi'illo is required to continue on.
The second Pi'illo is automatically found under a rock at the end of the Drilldigger
tutorial. The third Pi'illo is tucked in the bottom
right corner of the southeastern portion of the Drilldigger track.
In the same area, use the Drilldigger to break a rock to the west. Underneath it will be
the fourth Pi'illo and the second necessary to continuing the story.
Go left into the next area and jump up the small cliff on the western edge of the map
to find the fifth Pi'illo. The sixth Pi'illo and the third one necessary
to continuing the story is in the area with the circular Drilldigger track. To get there,
use the dead end with the boost track to launch yourself into the far western portion of the
map. Keep following it break the giant rock on both ends to unveil the Pi'illo.
After Torkscrew opens a path to the eastern portion of the desert, follow him into the
next area. Get off the Drilldigger and head right into an alcove to find the seventh Pi'illo.
You'll receive the eighth Pi'illo, and final one necessary for the story, after completing
the Torkscrew chase mini-game. After completing the Dozing Sands Dreampoint,
head left and find the ninth Pi'illo on the southern edge of the cliff you're on.
Return to Dozing Sands once you have the ball jump ability to get to the area to the right
of the Dreampoint. You'll find the tenth Pi'illo on the cliff at the northeastern edge.
The eleventh and final Pi'illo in Dozing Sands can be found in the underground area that
you eventually reach. It's lying on the top of the cliff, near the Save Point.
Dozing Sands is where you'll first start the Bean hunt since that is where you learn the
Mole Mario ability. It also has the most Beans to find at 32.
The first Bean you find in Dozing Sands is automatic since it's part of the Mole Mario
tutorial. The next one is south of the sand flow in
the tutorial area. In the area where the Drilldigger is introduced,
you can find a Bros. Bean on the left side of the tracks.
Go to the right side of the track to find a Speed Bean.
The fifth Bean is directly below the first Gatekeeper Pi'illo you rescue.
In the same area, head to the southern edge on the right side to find a Bean near some
cacti. Head west into the next area and return on
foot to the bridge. Just below it is a Power Bean.
Travel up to the northernmost green panel to find the eighth Bean nearby.
Keep going north to get to the next area and find another Bean next to some discarded machinery.
Jump up onto the cliffs and follow them to the right to find a series of Beans, including
a Heart Bean, a Speed Bean, and a Power Bean. In the dead end area with the speed panel,
get off the Drilldigger and go left to find the next Bean.
After launching yourself into the far left area with the speed panel, get off the Drilldigger
once again and head toward the bridge. You'll find a Bean north of the track.
Continue along the wall until you see some trashed equipment near a cactus. There you'll
find the fifteenth Bean. Reveal the Pi'illo in the northern area. Next
to it you'll find two Beans. Head directly south on the left side of the
track to get a Defense Bean. Next go to the northwestern section of this
area to dig for the next Bean. You'll find another Bean on the eastern side
of the area, just above the Question Block. Cross the tracks and go into the bottom right
corner to get the next Bean. After Torkscrew clears a path to the right
side of Dozing Sands, follow him into the curved area. Hop off the Drilldigger and go
down to find the twenty-second Bean. Jump onto the nearby cliff on the left side
and follow it to the previous area. There you'll find another Bean.
After rescuing all four Gatekeeper Pi'illos, you'll find yourself on top of the cliff near
the lake. Before jumping down, go south to find a Heart Bean.
The next Bean is found to the left of the Dreampoint Altar.
As you go to leave Dozing Sands, you'll find one on the far eastern corner of the area
with the Badge Shop. In the next area, you'll see a Bean point
above you as soon as you enter. When you reach the shop at the entrance to
Dozing Sands, head south to find a Power Bean among the clovers.
After you obtain the ball jump ability, go to the area right of the Dreampoint Altar.
You'll find another Bean in the sand pit. Next go to the top of the cliff above to find
a Speed Bean next to a Question Block. In the next area, you'll find another Bean
on a cliff. The final Bean can be found in the cave, on
the northern edge. The first Attack Block in Wakeport can be
found in the hotel room with all the Toads. Jump on the beds, then the bookcase, and finally
the windowsills to reach it. The second piece can be found on top of the
Inn. To reach it, enter the Beanish Hotel and climb the stairs until your reach the
rooftops then head right. You will receive the third piece by agreeing
to help the Hoohooligan in the area south of the main entrance find an engagement ring
for his girlfriend. The fourth Attack Block can be found in Kylie
Koopa's house. You can find the fifth one on top of the tour
guide building. The sixth block can be found by once again
going onto the roof of the Beanish Hotel and then going left to the next area.
The seventh block is obtained by talking to the Zeekeeper mascot sitting on the bench
near the main entrance of the town. The eighth Attack Block can be found south
of the talent stage. Break the two rocks in order to reach it.
You can find the ninth piece by activating the switch for the bridge. Before heading
back into town, go right to find it. Continue going right and travel up onto the
roofs again. Make Mario mini in order to fit into the hole and obtain the tenth and final
Attack Block. This will unlock the Bye-Bye Cannon Bros. Attack for Mario.
Once you reach Dreamy Wakeport, follow the path until Luigi can access his gust powers.
Blow the red blocks into the foreground and jump up them to find the first Attack Block.
Keep going left until you reach more blocks. You'll see the second piece. To reach it,
put the red blocks in the foreground to get on top then place yourself between the openning
in the green blocks in the background. Blow them forward, and then go right to get the
Attack Block. Go all the way to the left until you reach
a side area and jump to the top in order to get the third piece.
Return to the previous room and blow the red blocks to the foreground. Jump along them
and you'll see the fourth piece. The fifth Attack Block will be in the next
area all the way to the right of the umbrellas. In the room to the upper left of the previous
area, use the switch to turn the green block. Use it as a platform to reach the sixth piece.
Leave through the upper right path and use the first umbrella you come across to reach
the seventh Attack Block. The eighth piece will be in the next room.
Blow the red block to the foreground in order to collect it before moving on.
In the next room, follow the platforms all the way to the left to find the ninth piece.
To find the final piece, blow up the blocks around the left green pipe in the bomb room
and then go down that pipe. It will take you directly to the tenth Attack Block. This will
unlock the Luiginary Attack: Luiginary Wall. In total, there are six Pi'illos that are
hidden in Wakeport though only a handful can be found on the first visit. The first of
these Pi'llos is found along the path south of the talent stage, on the left side.
After activating the switch for the bridge, head directly across it to find the second
Pi'illo. The third Pi'illo can be found by solving
the switch puzzle near the tour guide building. However, you can't do this until the Toads
taking a picture leave. You'll need the ball jump to get on the rooftops
next to the tour guide building. Follow along them get to the next area. Stay along the
path until you see a plank leading left. Go that way to find the fourth Pi'illo.
The fifth Pi'illo can be found in the same area by getting on top of the arches. Follow
the path until you see the raft with the Pi'illo on it.
The sixth and final Pi'illo is actually Bedsmith. You will automatically rescue him as the story
progresses. Wakeport is home to only twelve Beans, most
of which can't be obtained until the second visit. But it should be rather easy to complete.
The first Bean can be found as soon as you enter Wakeport. It's on top of the center
hill. The second one is in the city entrance, left
of the Hoohooligan lovers. Go south to the next area and find a yellow
Yoshi standing under a canopy. Walk under it to find the Heart Bean on the other side.
To find the fourth Bean, go into the alley between the Equipment and Badge Stores.
When you gain the ball jump ability, return to Wakeport and go to the area just outside
the city. Use the ball jump to get on top of the stone tower and obtain the Bean.
Walk over to the left tower and use the ball jump there to get another Bean.
You can get two more Beans when you rescue the Pi'illo locked behind the gate near the
switch puzzle. After defeating the boss in Wakeport, head
to the northern end to find two Beans. Directly south of those, near the platform
you have to ball jump on is a Defense Bean. The final Bean in Wakeport can be found in the
grassy area to right of Pi'illoper's second floor entrance.
The first Attack Block in Mount Pajamaja can be found by going right when you come to the
fork. Continue along the path until you reach a hole that only mini Mario can fit through
and finding it on the other side. Head right into the next area and find the
second piece on the southern end. The third piece can be found along the path
where the Massif Bros. teach you the Spin Jump ability.
When you reach the fork again, go back to the right and use the spin jump to get the
fourth Attack Block. In the area where you first learn how to ride
air currents, use the first one to find the fifth piece on the right.
After rescuing a Pi'illo in the westernmost area, talk to it to launch up to a nearby
cliff. There you will find the sixth block. Continue using the air pockets to travel northward
and veer left after reaching the topmost area. Ride the air pocket to reach the seventh piece.
Later on the mountain, when you reach the area before the snowtop, use the drill ability
to go right and find the eighth Attack Block. During the Massif Bros. spinning section on
the right side, send them to the north when the path splits. After crossing a lava pool,
you'll find the ninth piece. The tenth and final Attack Block can be found
during the Massif Bros. spinning section on the left. After spinning them north, west,
then north again, use the spin jump to access the platform the block is placed on. This
will unlock the Dropchopper Bros. Attack for Luigi.
When you enter Dreamy Mount Pajamaja, head east until you find a series of platforms.
Drop down into a small alcove to find the first Attack Block.
To access the second piece, turn on the heat after reaching the highest point of the ice
fountain section. Ride the platform down to find the block.
In the room with the sliding ice block, push it to the left before turning on the heat.
Bounce up to the platforms and jump to the highest one to find the third piece.
You can find the fourth Attack Block after solving the sliding block puzzle in the next
section of the room. Jump up to the top right platform in the next
room to find the fifth piece. Continuing on, avoid all of the punching rocks
to reach to topmost platform and obtain the sixth block.
When you reach the ice fountain block puzzle, go all the way to the left to find the seventh
piece. Enter the top right room from the fountain
block puzzle and jump up the platforms to get the eighth block.
In the room to the left of the Luiginary Typhoon tutorial, jump to an alcove to find the ninth
piece. Finally, go left to the next room to find
the final Attack Block on the long ice platform. Finding all ten pieces will unlock the Luiginary
Attack: Luiginary Hammer. On your return trip to Mount Pajamaja, the
Massif Bros. will give you all ten Attack Blocks necessary to unlock Luigi's Slingsniper
Bros. Attack after you unlock the door to the treasure room.
There are twelve Pi'illos in total on Mount Pajamaja and some of them have the unique
gimmick of being interconnected within the Dream World. This means that some Nightmare
Chunks will be locked away until rescuing the Pi'illo that clears the path for the rest.
The first Pi'illo can be found by going right at the first fork when taking the Massif Bros.
tour. It's underneath the rock near the Mini-Mario entrance to the Attack Block. However, it
cannot be freed yet. Head right to find more rocks near the exits.
Destroy them to find the second Pi'illo, which can be rescued.
The third Pi'illo is actually the Mega Pi'illo that you have to rescue in order to progress
the story. In the area where the Massif Bros. teach you
how to use air vents, go left into the next area. You'll find the fourth Pi'illo, which
is the one that will clear all of the blockades in the Dream World. Now you can rescue the
other Pi'illos on Mount Pajamaja. Head north to find the giant Cliffside with
all of the air currents. Use them to get up to the left side and find the fifth Pi'illo.
The sixth Pi'illo is the Mega Pi'illo on the left side. Rescuing it will clear the path
to go further up the mountain. Before going up, return to the right side
and rescue the first Pi'illo you found. Keep going right and use the spin jump to cross
the gap and find the seventh Pi'illo. Return to the exit the Mega Pi'illos made
and continue along the path. Eventually you'll reach a sheer cliff that has a cannon at its
base. Go left of the cannon to find the eighth Pi'illo.
You'll automatically find the ninth and tenth Pi'illos as you follow the story. They're
the two Mega Pi'illos that you need to rescue to continue on.
The eleventh Pi'illo cannot be found until you learn the ball jump ability. It's in the
area with the shop. Use the ball jump on the upper left cliff to reach the Pi'illo.
Finally, go left at the first fork and continue along the path until you see the large metal
platform. Use the ball jump to get on top of it and find the twelfth and final Pi'illo.
There are likely two locations that will trip you up the most when searching for all the
Beans. The first is Mount Pajamaja, which has 24 hidden within it.
The first is in the spin jump tutorial area. On the raised cliff in the southern section,
use the spin jump to make your way to an off-screen platform.
When you reach the fork with the first two Mega Pi'illos, head right again and use the
manual lift. At the top, spin jump to the platform to your north. You'll see one right
away, but there's actually two here. Something I missed for quite some time.
In the area where the Massif Bros. teach you how to use air vents, head immediately left
to find a Power Bean. After using the first vent, go into the left
area to find another Bean at the southwestern edge.
When you reach the sheer wall with all the air currents, go right on the bottommost part
to find the sixth Bean. In the same area, ride the air currents to
the western cliffs then use the vent to travel up the platforms. Jump down along them to
find two more Beans. Once you get the drill jump, return once more
to the right path of the Mega Pi'illos. Go all the way to the eastern side area and use
the spin jump to cross the gap. There you'll find another Power Bean.
Continue up the mountain until you see the second manual lift. Instead of using it, go
down into the area below and use the drill jump to make it past the spikes. On the other
side you'll find two more Beans. Once you reach the snowy section of the mountain,
go right of the strange fountain to find the twelfth Bean.
Continue on until you help the Massif Bros. clear ice spikes with their spin jump. On
the eastern edge you should spot two more Beans.
You'll find two more once you complete the second section involving the Massif Bros.
spike clearing. Before reaching the snowtop where the other
two Mega Pi'illos are, go right along the topmost path into the next area to find a
Defense Bean. After completing the Mount Pajamaja Dreampoint,
go north to the top of the platform to find two Beans.
When you return to the mountain to learn the Ball Jump ability, you'll find a Heart Bean
and a Power Bean on the top platform of the tutorial area.
Continue along the path to the treasure until you reach a warp pipe. Go right into the next
area and navigate the platforming section to find the twenty-second Bean at the top.
Return to the sheer cliff with all the air currents on the left side. Reach the top to
find a series of metal platforms that can only be climbed with the ball jump ability.
Solve the ring puzzle at the top to open the door and receive the next Bean.
Finally, in the area to the north of the Boss fight arena, use the ball jump to reach a
platform on the right and obtain the final Bean.
The first Attack Block in Driftwood Shore is to the right of Broque Madame's store.
Travel along the planks to find it. The second piece is in the area to the right
of Seadring's Dreampoint. Use the spin jump along the moving platforms to reach it.
Use the bottom exit on the left to go back to the previous area. There you will find
the third block just beyond the trapped Pi'illo. Go to the area left of Seadring's Dreampoint
and make your way onto the cliffs. Then go right and use the spin jump to get to the
next cliff. Continue along this path until you reach the fourth Attack Block.
Return to the previous area and use the drill ability on the blue moving platform to get
through the spikes. Go south to find the fifth piece.
Go left to the next area and immediately head north to find the sixth block.
Complete the shell hunt mini-game to obtain the seventh piece.
Use the bottom exit to go right and find the eighth Attack Block.
In the top area, use the moving platforms to line up with the drill point and drill
through. Climb up the cliffs above you and break the rock at the top. Then use mini-Mario
to go through the hole and collect the ninth piece.
Head right to the next area and jump to the top of the cliffs on your right. Spin jump
left to collect the tenth and final Attack Block. This will unlock Mario's Bomb Derby
Bros. Attack. The first Attack Block in Dreamy Driftwood
Shore can be found immediately to your right as soon as you enter.
After unlocking the first section of Dreamy Driftwood Shore, follow the pipes until you
have two to choose from. Take the left pipe and use the gravity ability to maneuver Mario
through the maze and reach the second piece. The third piece is in the same room, left
of the Gravity Maze. Simply walk left, have Mario gravitate toward the ceiling and position
him so that he lands on the shell platform when the gravity is returned to normal.
Return to the previous room to find the fourth piece. It is above the Question Blocks. Use
the gravity to position Mario above the blocks. Continue on until you reach a room with a
green pipe you can't reach. Go right to see the activation block, but jump on the platforms
above it to find the fifth Attack Block. In the first switch room of the second section
of Dreamy Driftwood Shore, maneuver your way to the left edge to find the sixth piece.
After using the blue pipe in that same room, take the green pipe to your bottom right.
Fight your way through the enemies and up the platforms to the top left side to obtain
the seventh block. In the room after the spinning Luigi section,
jump on top of the three Question Blocks to find the eighth piece.
Go to the next room and travel all the way to the left to find the ninth block.
In the same room, activate the left Switch Block to raise a platform. Use that platform
to get the tenth and final piece. This will unlock the Luiginary Attack: Luiginary Flame.
There are only three Pi'illos to be found in Driftwood Shore making it a pretty easy
area to clear. The first one can be found in the area to the left of Seabelle's Dream
Point. It's directly below the breakable rocks. The second can be found in the secret cave
north of the Shelltop Mini-game. Talk to Broque Madame to receive the item necessary to opening
the cave on your return visit. The Pi'illo can be found on a stone pillar in the second
area. Use the ball jump and spin jump to make your way to it.
The third and final Pi'illo is found just outside Broque Madame's shop. Travel along
the boardwalk to the right and use the ball jump to reach the Pi'illo.
Only ten Beans can be found in Driftwood Shore. The first of which is found in the northwestern
corner of the area to the left of Broque Madame's shop.
The next is between her shop and the warp pipe.
In the area with Seabelle's Dreampoint, go to the upper right corner. You can find a
Bean there next to the second orange platform. South of that one, next to the blue platform
is a Bros. Bean. The area left of Seadric's Dreampoint hides
two Beans, both of which are on the other side of some cliffs in the northern section.
Go north to the next area to find a Bean on the southwestern beachfront.
In the same area, use your drill jump to get through a blocked hole in the northeast. On
the other side you'll find a Stache Bean. The final two Beans can be found in the secret
cave. They're in the sand pit below the ring puzzle.
The first Attack Block in Somnom Woods can be found in the second poison lake area. Make
your way to the top right corner and use the wind to spin jump directly down. Follow the
platforms until you reach a rock. Break it and drill jump through the thorn arches. Then
use your spin jump to get to the platform north of you on the other side.
In the next area, drill jump through the thorn arches to the right side. Go north and use
your spin jump to reach the second piece. Take the upper right path to get to the next
area and make your way along the platforms in the poison lake. When you reach the point
where the flower is blowing wind, run past it and spin jump along the northern platforms
to reach the third block. After using your drill jump to unlock the
second gate, jump up the right side to find the fourth piece.
In the bottom left area of upper Somnom Woods, drill jump through the thorn arches then spin
jump to the platforms north of the cannon to find the fifth block.
You'll receive the sixth piece for successfully completing the ring mini-game with the Nommons
in the bottom right area. In the top left area, time your spin jumps
so you don't get pushed back by the wind. With proper timing you'll reach the northernmost
platform and obtain the seventh Attack Block. Keep going left in this section until you
reach a cave. When you find the small opening, use mini-Mario to run through it and get the
eighth piece. You'll find the ninth piece in the top right
area. It's also through a little hole that mini-Mario will have to get to.
You can get the tenth and final Attack Block after successfully gathering all the Somnom
Stones and making a pathway to the opposite side. This will unlock the Jet-Board Bash
Bros. Attack for Mario. In Dreamy Somnom Woods, you can find the first
Attack Block after completing the invisible maze. As soon as you exit the pipe taking
you away from there, head right through the bushes to find the block on the other side.
On the second level of the Woods, go into the next room and take the pipe on the right.
Jump up the platforms to your left until you reach the far left pipe. Take it down to find
the second piece. In the room with the red coin block, hit it
and collect all eight coins. This will make a Switch Block appear. Hit it to create a
platform that will allow you to get the third Attack Block.
Go immediately to the room on your left and use the Luiginary Tower to break through the
boxes. Head right to go back to the previous room and find the fourth block.
Return to the room on your left and go down the pipe to enter a room full of bushes. Go
left until Luigi can access his blowing ability and use it to clear away the plants. You'll
immediately see the fifth piece. Continue left and use the pipe in the next
room to find the sixth Attack Block. When you reach the fourth level of the Woods,
go left to enter a room full of spinning wheels. Transform Luigi into his ball form and use
the Mario Hookshot to launch them on the left middle platform. Go into the next room to
find the seventh piece. Return to the spinner room and use the bottom
left exit. Keep going left in the next room and take the top exit. There you'll find the
eighth Attack Block. Go back to the previous room and use Luigi
to launch Mario onto the upper platforms. Jump to the highest point to find the ninth
piece. Use the nearby switch block to activate a
pipe and use that pipe to get to the next room. Walk along the upper pathway all the
way to the left. There you'll find the tenth and final piece. This will unlock the last
Luiginary Attack: Luiginary Typhoon. There are eleven Pi'illos to find in Somnom
woods with the first being located in the area to the right of Bedsmith's house. Navigate
the poison water with your spin jump to get to the north end. Make your way along it to
find a breakable rock. Beneath it is the Pi'illo. Continue through the woods until you find
yourself in the northeastern area. Get to the bottom section of the poison to find another
rock. Hammer it to find the second Pi'illo. In the same area, use the gusting winds to
make it to the far left platform. There you'll find the third Pi'illo.
Go left to the next area and bring down the wooden gates. Head south to find the fourth
Pi'illo. The fifth Pi'illo is difficult to miss as
it's right next to a Save Point and the Warp Pipe in upper Somnom Woods.
In the bottom left area along the Somnom Stone track, use the rocket to get to the top of
the cliff and rescue the sixth Pi'illo. The seventh Pi'illo is found by completing
the Nommon's ring puzzle in the bottom right area of the upper woods.
Solve the switch puzzle in the middle left area to reach the eighth Pi'illo.
The ninth Pi'illo is in the upper left area, right outside the rock-blocked entrance to
the cave. The final two Pi'illos in Somnom Woods are
probably the most difficult to get in the game. They're in the upper right area and
can only be obtained after completing the Nommon's ring puzzle. These are much more
difficult and randomized each time you play. You have unlimited time to plot out your route
though so take your time and eventually you'll obtain the tenth and eleventh Pi'illos.
The other location that will likely give you trouble in your hunt for Beans is Somnom Woods.
The heavy vegetation and shadowed areas can make the 19 Beans hidden here hard to spot.
The first can be found as soon as you enter Somnom Woods.
In the next area, before using the drill jump to unlock the path ahead, there's an obscured
Bean in the bottom right corner. It is extremely easy to miss if you're not actively scanning
the ground. In the area after Bedsmith's house, navigate
the platforms above the poison water to get to the right side. Head into the southern
corner to find a Heart Bean. Keep going right until you reach an area with
two paths leading north. The fourth Bean can be seen as soon as you enter.
The next Bean is in the same area, right next to the Attack Block.
After reaching upper Somnom Woods, take the bottom right path on the Somnom Stone tracks.
You'll find a Bean near the exit on the other side, on a crescent moon-shaped platform.
Take the middle right path to find a Speed Bean in the second circular section.
In the upper left path, work your way through the platforming section to get to the exit
on the other side. Immediately before leaving you'll find the ninth Bean.
Keep going left into the cave to find a Defense Bean in the dirt, a Speed Bean in the grassy
section to the north, and a Heart Bean between them.
In the upper right area, you'll find another Bean near the Nommon's who want to play the
ring mini-game. The final set of Beans can be found on the
upper left circular platform before the Dreampoint. There's six in total: two Defense Beans, two
Bros. Beans, and two Power Beans. The only Pi'illo in the final area is simple
to find. It's right outside the entrance. As you collect the Pi'illos, you can return
to Eldream to receive gifts. After asking you to find the Pi'illos, he will give you
a free gift: a Bare Hammer. When you get 7 Pi'illos, he gives you a Date
of Birth Hammer. At 12 Pi'illos, he'll reward you with POW Gloves. 18 Pi'illos will net
you a Date of Birth Ring. 26 Pi'illos will earn you Golden Wear. 37 Pi'illos is worth
a POW Gloves DX. And finally, all 52 Pi'illos will earn you the Attack Blocks for the Zee
Egg Bros. Attack. In the final area of the game, the first Attack
Block can be found north of the first Dreampoint. Use the upper left door to reach the room
it's in and go straight ahead. Go to the northwestern room and make your
way through the ring puzzle to reach the platform that the second piece is on.
In the same room, take the blue circle marked door to get to the next area. Head around
until you see a hole for mini-Mario to fit through. You'll be able to come out in an
earlier section that has two Question Blocks, but keep going right to reach the platform
where the third block is hidden. The fourth block can be found by going back
through the blue circle marked door and then going into the yellow circle marked one. Make
your way across the moving platforms and head right when you reach the top. This will bring
you to the fourth Attack Block. You can reach the fifth block after solving
Kamek's puzzle and bringing down the gate around the first Dreampoint.
In the first area north of the save point room, go left and jump over the lava pool
to reach the sixth piece. In the area to the left of the second Dreampoint
room, make your way up the platforms and spin jump to the right side. Head down to find
the seventh Attack Block. Use the north door marked with a pink triangle
to reach the next room and go left to obtain the eighth piece.
After completing the second Dreampoint, head left to door that was marked with a pink triangle.
Go through it to find the ninth block. You can find the final piece by going to the
room directly north of the second Dreampoint and then navigating the Bob-omb hazards to
head right. Go through the southern exit on the right and keep heading south to eventually
reach the platform with the tenth Attack Block. This will unlock Luigi's last Bros. Attack:
the Star Rocket. The final area contains 18 Beans, all of which
are in small sand pits. The first of these can be found during Kamek's maze. Go through
the blue circle door to get to the right side. Use the ball jump to get on the upper section
and find the Bean. Before going to the second level of the castle,
go left at the lift to find two more Beans. In Kamek's second maze, go to the left area
and travel down to the southwest corner. There you'll find a sand pit with two Beans.
In the area with the long horizontal bomb track that you have to navigate, take the
far right exit on the other side. At the end of the dead end you'll find a Stache Bean
and a Speed Bean. After using the bombs to bring down the gate
on the far left side, head there to find another sand pit with two Beans.
When you reach the floor that has the dream flames blocking your path, take the bottom
left path and continue down until you find yourself on a balcony. You'll spot two Beans
nearby. Travel across the balcony to the right exit
to find a sand pit with the twelfth and thirteenth Beans inside.
Go through the exit to the next area and navigate the flamethrowers to reach the other side.
There you'll find the next two Beans in separate sand pits.
Head north and take the right exit to find yourself on another balcony. In the northernmost
section you'll find a Power Bean. Go south of the exit to find the next Bean.
Make your way to the balcony on the left side and go south of the right exit to find the
final Bean in both the castle and the game.
