Hello I'm Bruce Zimmerman Host of the Open Line Garden Show and Certified
Horticulturalist for Rittenhouse.ca.
Today are going to take a look at how to prevent stealing or the unwanted
borrowing of two very valuable products.
Your water
and your fuel. The first one we are going to take a look at is the Magnetic Hose Bibb Lockout.
Now this is a Hose Bibb. Everyone of you've got it back of your house. O.K.
But for you
it probably looks like this. Now
make sure you turn off your tap. It's always a good idea before you take the
hose off.
Take the hose off then take and simply
take the Magnetic Hose Bibb Lockout
and thread it on.
Now once it's completely threaded on
you'll find that you can't
no matter which way you twist or as much as you twist, you could twist until the cows
come home, it is not going to come off.
Now what you do
is take one of the magnetic keys and you have a fifty-fifty chance of putting
it in the right hole. So you put it in the right hole and you'll find that you'll
be able to
unlock it.
Make sure that you do not leave the key in the lock. Now each one of these
Magnetic Hose Bibb Lockouts comes with a pair of matching keys. If you order
multiples you can get them all keyed alike so that you can have many
Magnetic Hose Bibb Lockouts with
two sets of keys per all
matching. Simple as that.
You can also get them if you need to in different keys
for different
areas, different homes, different locations as well.
Now the next thing we're going to take a look at
is
the fuel caps. Now these are locking fuel caps. They are made of hardened stainless steel.
And the important thing to know is that one
they are male and female
and that their two-inch National Pipe Thread.
Now it's important that you know the difference between the male and female.
This is a female and this is the male.
Because your fuel tank will be one or the other.
And of course if it's a male you're going to need a female and if it's a
female you're going to need a male.
So what you do so you start with the male
put it on. Simply take the barrel key, now the barrel key will lock it on. It has
hardened steel pins. So it is very difficult to
even go and drill it out.
And put the cover over it just to keep the weather out.
And of course that's it you are done.
And it'll spin and spin and you just can't get in.
Now these keys are all numbered
so if you do need duplicates in the future or you need to order them
keyed like you can. Simply tell us and we will do it that way.
Now with the female it's very similar
all you do is put in, turn the key out
close the
weatherproof cap
and of course it does the same thing.
It's as simple as that, easy to do
and of course it's going to save you a lot of money in the long run.
Remember,
Female, Male
very important. If you'd like to see these and other great gardening devices please go
