Painting the large areas wet-on-wet can
sometimes cause the paper to buckle.
If your painting starts to buckle
just loosen the tape
and pull gently to stretch
and then re-apply the tape.
And do this from all directions
and you can repeat
this as often as is necessary to
keep your painting as flat as possible so
that it will dry nice and flat when you're done.
Just give it a firm tug
and again you'll do that in all
directions. Another idea that you
can do is what usually causes
the buckling is puddling of the paint,
so I'm going to turn this back around so
you can see the right side of the painting and
I'm just going to slip a book under the edge to
elevate it slightly and that will prevent puddling
of the paint and that will also help you not to get
as much buckling.
