Hey there! It's Thursday, March 7th, 2013
and if you're not aware
it's raining in
southern California!
Yeah, if you don't live in southern California, You may not understand the significance of this.
In fact southern California is pretty, pretty dry and I'm told the climate is
called a "chapparral".
But I'm gonna have to take my friend's word on that one and, subsequently, you will too
if you're too lazy to look it up yourself.
Anyways, I love living here in sunny southern California and rain is indeed
a bit of
freak whether. We don't get it that often. In fact, when we do,
entire streets are often
flooded because, simply speaking, the infrastructure just isn't there to handle that
much rain.
As a result, it's quite and event. Offten celebrated by people driving their cars
off the road in a panic because they hydroplaned
just a little.
However, for people of
hearty New England stock, such as myself,
rain is no big deal
except if you haven't seen a into months.
Then it's kind of a big deal
especially in a rainy season like this year has turned out to be
it's something to be cherished.
Rain is wonderful. Rain is beautiful.
And furthermore, rain is just freakin' awesome.
so uh... you'll find in the description of this video
for any of you who might be looking to make audio dramas, or just need some
happy rain Foley,
some wonderful little bits of sound for you, some rain
sound effects recorded st
from my house;
on my deck, around my porch,
and near my front steps. So
you'll hear some sounds of cars driving by too, perfect if you want to simulate
a city.
So, happy, uh... happy editing,
happy viewing
and DFTBA!
