Hi, I'm Dr. Michael Walker from Hill Country Facial Plastic Surgery Center and on behalf
of Expert Village we'll be talking about S-lifts today. What are the typical incisions for
the face lifts and for the S-lift? A typical face lift incision starts here in the eye
and the sideburn behind the hairline, comes down the hairline and may go either in front
or behind the tragus, the little *** here. And then it dives behind the earlobe into
the crease behind the ear. Comes up about an inch and a half, and then it goes usually
into the hairline about an inch and a half or two inches. That's the classical face lift
incision. The S-lift incision starts usually about where the base of my sideburn is. Goes
back behind the little *** here to hide it. Comes forward in front of the earlobe, and
then goes back behind the ear for about an inch, hidden in this crease behind the ear.
You can see that the S-lift incision is much smarter, smaller and much shorter than the
classical face lift incision. It's easier to hide.
