I think the best thing about meditating for me has been getting some space and some relaxation
back into quite a busy life.
The best thing I'd say I've got from meditation is perspective.
I've noticed the biggest
effect of the meditation on my anxiety.
It just gives you a bit of space, to
process the rubbish that you wouldn't normally
get space to do
and I always find if I've got an issue going on or a problem going on
that fifteen, twenty minutes in the morning the answer always comes to you.
the best thing about meditation for me has been the way its enabled me to just
stay
much calmer in my
daily life and my relationships with my
teenage sons.
Meditation has had the biggest impact on my life
definitely
in that I can now sleep. I think just to know that
how you feel
how you think
is not written in stone but it absolutely does not have to be
like that.
The areas where I've noticed meditation having
the most affects my life are small things like
if i've meditated in the morning a much more likely to
maybe go for a run or eat sensibly, or not have a beer that night
it seems the more I do it the more the better choices I make
in terms of
the rest of my health and work and general well being.
Its having ten minutes to myself and just being able to put the rest
of the world and all the worries and pressure and deadlines and to-do lists
to one side for a few minutes
and just actually take some time to reflect and be quiet and
let everything wash over me.
