There's a lot of different types of Betta fish to choose out there, and once you choose
the Betta fish that's right for you, we need to figure out how to take care of that Betta
fish. Once you set your bowl up, you're going to look at your fish on a daily basis and
check your water quality. You can do this when you're feeding your fish. I do recommend
a pelleted food. It helps keep your water a little bit cleaner, and you just need to
feed him about two or three palates a day. Over feeding can cause your Betta fish to
become bloated, and it can mess up the water quality itself. So, it could be two days or
every four or five days that the bowl needs to be cleaned. Again, we're going to check
it visually and decide if it needs to be done. And when that is done, what I do; is I simply
take my Betta fish, and I pour everything into another container. I, then, take the
bowl itself and clean it out and as long as I'm maintaining it on a regular basis, I never
have to use soap or any other chemicals. So, once my bowl's clean, I fill it back up with
water. I use a chemical to treat that water so it is safe for my Betta fish, and you simply
need to follow the directions. Once, the bowl has been sitting there for a couple of hours,
we should be about the same temperature. So, your fish is going to acclimate easily to
his new container. I take the net. I fish my Betta out of the container he was in and
simply put him back in. Now he's back there. You can enjoy him. You can give him a good
talk. My name is Michael and we've been talking about how to maintain your Betta fish.
