Hey, I'm Moldover.
I'm a producer, a multi-instrumentalist, and for the last 9 years I've been championing the Controllerist Movement.
For this reason, Native Instruments sent me a couple of their new Kontrol F1's to see what I can do with them in a weekend.
In that last bit, I sampled my guitar and chopped the sounds up on the pads.
With the F1's Punch mode, I can switch samples without restarting them.
This way I can play notes smoothly or with sharp attacks.
Traktor's Remix Decks can be controlled just like the regular decks.
So I can do tricks with the pitch fader and the jog wheels.
With individual faders and filters for each track, I can control elements separately.
I can even add distortion to the bass, without affecting the drums.
With Traktor's loop recorder and my microphone, I can record 3 part vocal harmonies into the F1.
Then I can control each part separately, or all of them together.
