Hi! Thanks for joining us for this video demonstration on how to send faxes through the MaxEmail website.
During this video we'll go through the steps necessary to send a fax through our website to any fax number you wish.
You can use this feature from any computer anywhere in the world.
First go to www.maxemail.com and click on the "Log In" link in the upper right corner of the web page.
Type in your user name and password to log into your account.
Once you have logged into your account, click on the "send" tab and then select "send a fax".
On the "send fax" page, you can enter the recipient's name, company, and fax number,
although the "fax number" is the only required field.
although the "fax number" is the only required field.
If you'd like to send your fax to more than one recipient, click the "Add Another Recipient" button.
You can then enter the second recipient's information in the fields provided, or you can add a contact from your online Address Book.
To add a recipient from the online address book, click the "Address Book" button.
Once the address book opens, click the check box next to the recipient or recipients that you'd like to send the fax to.
After you've chosen all the recipients you'd like to send the fax to, click the "Send Fax to Selected Recipients" button.
If you'd like to use our pre-formatted cover page,
select the "Include Cover Page" check box and enter a subject and a message for your cover page.
If you choose not to include our pre-formatted cover page, you can always upload your own or not send one at all.
Next, you will choose the document or documents you would like to send as a fax.
If the fax you want to send is a paper document, you will first need to scan your document into your computer using a scanner.
When scanning files to send through our service, we recommend setting your scanner to scan the file as a black and white document
and using a resolution around 200 dpi.
Scanning at a higher resolution will not result in a better output image when we send the fax.
Also, any gray scale or color in the document may not convert well when the fax is sent.
Now that you have scanned your document into your computer,
or if you have a digital document that is already stored on your computer, click the "Browse" button.
Your web browser will open a window that allows you to find and attach a file from your computer.
Select the file you'd like to fax. Repeat this process for each file you would like to fax.
If you have more than three files to fax, you can click the "Upload more files" button to upload up to 10 files in a single fax.
Each file can either be a single page document, or a document that contains multiple pages.
We'll send out the documents in the order that you upload them.
Next, choose standard mode or fine mode resolution.
A standard mode fax will be sent more quickly, and a fine mode fax will be sent with higher quality,
but will usually take twice as long to send.
You can also enter your own internal reference number for the fax.
If you choose to add a reference number, it will appear both on the confirmation email we send to you as well as in the send log on our website.
Once all fields are complete, click the "Send Fax Now" button.
We'll upload the files you submitted and present you with a confirmation screen summarizing the details of your submitted fax.
To check the status of your sent fax go to the Send tab and then choose either Pending or Sent Faxes.
Pending faxes will display any faxes you've submitted but have not yet started transmitting.
Sent faxes will show you all queued, transmitting, and completed faxes.
You can view the details for a particular fax job by choosing the "Completed" link next to the fax.
The details page will also allow you to download or view a copy of any faxes you have sent by clicking the "download" link.
