Hey folks Keith Luscher here for another Prospect & Flourish Every Day moment. Actually this
is the twentieth episode in this, so I thought I would - pardon me that's my cat - I thought
I would share today what I think is the number one rule of prospecting and that is, don't
try to sell your prospects, serve them. Serve your prospects. That's the number one rule.
And it is so much that I named my business after--Serve Your Prospects LLC--and that's
the essence of what content marketing is all about. When you attend a networking event
or when you sit down to connect with another person in an informational interview, your
goal should not be what you can get from them but what you can do for them. Not what they
can do for you but what you can do for them. That's really important. That's how you build
relationships. It's building relationships through value. And understanding value. Some
of the future videos we are going to be doing are going to be multi-part where we are developing
a more cohesive lesson over a series of three, four five six videos at once. But anyway,
that's what I thought I would share today--the number one rule of prospecting is serve your
prospects. So, that's just my opinion--take it for what it's worth. And thanks so much.
