According to PwC's Major Banks' analysis, Australia's four major banks delivered combined
underlying cash earnings of $25.2 billion for the full year, a 3.6 per cent rise compared
with the year before.
Total revenue for the banks rose by 4.0 per cent to $75.6 billion, the first time the
four majors have crossed the $75 billion revenue mark. Net interest income also rose by 3.5
per cent, the lowest rate of increase in at least a decade. Other operating income was
up 5 per cent with trading income surging 31 per cent.
