Studying abroad is something I kind of thought about before I went to college actually, cause I knew it was an option.
Right when I got here my freshman year I kind of looked into it, and I was,
you know in the back of my head I was always thinking, that's something I definitely want to do.
And when I got a little older, and you know, the credits would transfer better, I decided to go.
It was just kind of something I had always wanted to do.
I was surprised at how easy it was to go through with everything.
Before I started looking into it I thought, "this is going to be hard,"
you know, figuring out money, figuring out where I want to go, this and that.
It was really just, it wasn't as hard as everybody may think it is.
There's a lot of planning, but it's doable. You know, and
when I went I felt so comfortable. The school made me feel extremely comfortable.
I immediately met friends, met people, and I wasn't as home sick as I thought I was going to be either. Which is really good.
Being that I'm a broadcasting major I kind of thought it would make sense to go to an English speaking country.
I've always wanted to go to England, so I thought, well, this would be perfect.
It just seemed like a really great school. It was in a small town, but
it was right next to Liverpool. A twenty minute train ride away.
So I thought, well, that would be good. I'm kind of like in a big city, but not really.
Cause I don't want to just go abroad and be in this huge city like London or something that I thought would be a little overwhelming.
It just seemed like a good fit for me.
If you're thinking about studying abroad I would say to just go for it, because
it's definitely something that you're going to remember for the rest of your life.
I mean, you meet friend that you will have the rest of your life.
You'll go places that you otherwise may not have gone,
and it's just a great opportunity.
