last week I said that maybe
some of the problems with the health care dot gov Obamacare website
might be related in part to denial-of-service attacks by
right-wingers
we now have way more information about this and it has been confirmed
that right-wing cyberattacks were greatly
responsible for the problems with the health care dot gov website
the House Homeland Security Committee listen to this
published a video on the YouTube page highlighting a portion of the committee
questioning
roberta Stampley acting as the assistant secretary at the Department of Homeland
Security's
office cybersecurity and communications
she confirmed at least 16
attacks on the Affordable Care Act portal healthcare dot gov
during 2013 she highlighted ones successful attack designed to deny
access to a denial of service attack
this is usually done through a concerted effort to try to call up the website
repeatedly
so much so that'd it essentially takes it off line in it it makes it accessible
and right-wingers have been distributing the link
to the tool that performs these repeated attempts to access the website
through social networking and through other online venues as has been reported
by InformationWeek
the name of the tool is called destroy Obamacare
Louis I don't even know what to say
it's just amazing that that right-wingers have stooped this low
after opposing the law for being socialistic communistic
after it was appealed all the way up to the Supreme Court in deemed to be
constitutional
after it became the law of the land they resorted to making the website not work
and then as if being spoon-fed
the right-wing establishment picked up on the website not working
by the way as the result of your supporters
trying to make it not work and arguing that that means
the program itself is no good it's amazing
I think there's a good chance these attacks
never would have happened if there weren't a poncho Republican politicians
just lying about everything surrounding Obamacare
for whatever reason and stirring ur from entering is
as george bush which day II anger
about it that's a good point in other words but take a step back
with these individuals who decided to carry out these denial of service
attacks on health care dot gov
would they have decided to do that would they have been as upset about it
had they not been fed lies by the right-wing establishment
four years we don't know the answer but Lewis I i think what you're saying that
does make quite a bit of sense
yeah I'll be in logically that's how these people get so angry
make feel the need to do something about it i mean they were told that this
program is
communist socialist and that it's going to destroy the country so I can
understand
if you're suckered into that thinking the unit try and do something about it
