Welcome to the University of Sunderland We're currently on St. Peter's Campus
which is one of two campuses here at the University.
Currently there is an open day taking place in the building just over my left hand shoulder
that is full of students or potential students even who have
come to see what the University of Sunderland has to offer.
So how about we go and meet them?
Is it important to actually come and walk around the University
and speak to the staff rather than just getting a prospectus?
Yeah, I find it a lot easier because from a prospectus you don't get much information
whereas when you actually come here you can get a feel for the place and,
you can also like talk to people who are involved in the courses that you want to do.
It's just sort of you can come and just see the environment and atmosphere
and you can't really do that from behind a computer screen.
Well I've had a look around Sunderland and I've got to say
you've got a brilliant campus and I really like the living
accommodations as well and from what I've heard about the
course it does seem really good so, it's quite promising.
I've just been to the finance seminar and that's helped us an
awful lot towards the likes of scholarships, loans and grants.
I was impressed with the TV Studios and the Green Screen and the space of the studio
was really good and also the technology that you have as well, and the cameras.
Is it important for you to come in and actually them see
in person rather than just reading about them online?
Yeah, I like to look at it to know and get a
feel of it instead of just looking at pictures.
How have you found it?
Absolutely fantastic, we have already been to Canterbury and Manchester
and this has been the most informative. Really very exciting for us.
Today we have spoken to some really enthusiastic potential students about their Open Day Experience.
Why not come and see it for yourself to see what the University of Sunderland can do for you.
