I started out with a degree in business marketing and then felt it was kind of dry, so
I wanted something more creative. I've always had that artistic side to me growing up and
just kind of wanted to follow the business route,
but also incorporate the business route, so that's what I felt graphic design was.
louisiana is known for being more professional graphic design degree
the faculty theater open and friendly their classroom doesn't really ended
three fifteen you can go and meet them in their office whenever there the round
on the web we talk to you i mean you know but i still get emails from my
professor from freshman year it's a very take community here it's like a family
and he said
and symptoms hasn't
We have great professors have been in the industry that worked and taught,
but then they've also been, you know, running their own design studios so it's great.
They can come in and show us some of their own work, talk about how they've interacted
with the clients, and impart that knowledge on us, which is very valuable.
I chose NESAD because it was in a nice area Boston, lot of colleges up here so
it's a great town, great feel, great vibe.
There's a lot of influence from the culture, all the artistic communities, there are great
open studios that we go to a lot of our courses and just see them and
incorporate gallery visits and just even bringing artists from the
area in to school for lectures. Having the degree now gives me some definite
skills that I can bring to the table. It allows me to go into a business meeting
and be very confidant in myself and know that, yeah, I can do that, that's not a problem.
Because the classrooms are run like in an art studio. The professor comes in. I'd
like to be like your creative director and you guys are all my designers and art
directors, so we're going to run this classroom like it's an art studio and it can be very
intense, but it can also be, you know, a great learning experience. I think definitely
my confidence has been increased by being in NESAD.
