Gnostic Congress of Transvaluation 26 Octomber 2008 - First Part (continued) "The Treasure of Light"
What is it for to be beside
a Master if our pride does not
leave us to obey the Master,
if the self-love does not leave us
to accept what the Master is saying?
Then, when people say:
«Ah, I would like to meet
Jesus Christ in the street!»,
that is very serious,
because if we met Jesus Christ
and he was not disguised, as I commented yesterday
or the day before yesterday, but he was with his long hair,
with his beard, and we met him
in a corner, and he showed his stigmata to us:
«Look, I am Jesus Christ»,
surely we would kneel before him.
Up to there all is right.
Then, we would ask:
«What do you want from me, my Lord?
I will do your will! What do you want?
And surely that Jesus Christ,
the Supreme Chief of the White Lodge,
would tell us:
«Yes there is one thing
that I want from you, one.
I want that you leave this city,
and you go right now
to Haiti to teach Gnosis there»,
that small island
in the Caribbean sea that is full of misery.
Besides, in Haiti there is also black magic,
and many things. Probably, when Jesus had said it to us,
then, we would ask:
«Are you sure
that you are Jesus Christ?
Don't you know how dangerous Haiti is?»
And he would answer:
«Yes, I want you to go to Haiti».
«No, something does not fit here.
Jesus Christ would be more intelligent than you,
an intelligent person is not going to send me
there».
And what is this?
Arrogance. We would say to the very Jesus Christ:
«I think that you are not Jesus Christ».
This is because the speech of the Adepts
does not follow our caprices.
Then, tell me: what is it for
to be near a Master
if one does not work the intolerance,
the self-love, the vanity? It is for nothing.
Master Samael says
that on one occasion, an Englishman called Sinnett
got in contact by letter, through Theosophical
Society of Madame Blavatsky, with
Master Morya. Then, this disciple
was very happy for this epistolary relation
with the Master Morya; and the disciple sent letters,
and the Master Morya answered him.
One day, that disciple wrote:
«I would like to have an interview
with you here, in the place X of London»,
and Master Morya, very intelligent, said to him:
«No, let us keep our friendship
by letter, and it is enough».
And Master Samael commented:
«Obviously, if that disciple
had met Master Morya,
and Master Morya had behaved
with him with the rigour of a Master,
that disciple had left the Path.
However, in the contact by letter
there was a distance that allowed that disciple
to respect Master Morya».
It is sad that we cannot,
in a certain moment,
take advantage of the teaching that
the Adepts want to give us
because there is a barrier that filters
in a negative way the desiderata of the Masters.
