Today on our 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, were going to be test fitting the Swagman XTC 2 Bike
Carrier, part number S64670. With our vehicle equipped with a 2-inch hitch and our bike
rack already preassembled, we can go ahead and slide the bike rack shank directly into
the receiver tube, install and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and safety clip. As you
can see with the anti-rattle bolt tightened down, it really takes out any movement between
the bike rack and the hitch. This is what our bike rack will look like in its stored
position. Next, well go ahead and take a few measurements. From the nearest point of the
vehicle to the nearest point of the bike rack, we have 5 inches of clearance.
From the lowest point of the end of the bike rack, we have 15-3/4 inches of ground clearance.
With the bike rack in its stored position, we add an additional 21 inches to the overall
length to the vehicle. Next, well go ahead and put the platform down on our bike rack,
lower the center support, and check for rear cargo access. As you can see, once we unfold
the bike carrier and put the center support arm down, we have plenty of room to still
gain rear cargo access. Now, well go ahead and move the center support hooks to the top
of the center support arm and undo the wheel straps.
