I want to work within the terrorism field, counter-terrorism or something like that.
It’s something that’s fascinated me for a while and I did a Google search and the
university came up. I looked it up and researched the university and its reputation and it was
very good.
The academic prowess of the university, I really enjoyed the professors and knowledge
I gained. While the process was stressful of learning everything, I really enjoyed what
I did learn and obviously meeting so many good friends.
I think I have a more astute knowledge of being able to analyse, the ability to analyse
world issues, everything from the Syrian conflict to what’s happening in US politics for example.
I would suggest that if you’re not from the UK, do your research not only about the
UK student culture but also UK culture in general. It wasn't so much a culture shock
coming here to Birmingham but it was more of the grade system, the living situations,
stuff like that I wasn't as used to.
