Hi.
I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to talk through how to transfer money from
your PayPal account to a linked bank account.
PayPal makes transferring your money to a linked bank account a piece of cake, and doesn't
charge you any fees to do it.
However, given that PayPal isn't a widely accepted form of payment, moving your funds
into a linked bank account will make them more liquid and easier to use for paying bills.
The only downside to transferring money from your PayPal account to a linked bank account
is that it generally takes between one and three days to transfer funds.
This video will walk you through how to transfer your funds from both the PayPal app for Apple
and Android mobile devices, and also from the PayPal website.
And now, let's walk through how to transfer money from your PayPal account to a linked
bank account on Apple and Android smart devices.
If you haven't already linked a bank account to your PayPal account, you'll need to do
that before moving on.
You can find a link to my video about how to do that in the description for this video.
Step 1.
Launch the PayPal app on your smart device.
Enter the password associated with your account when prompted, and then tap "Log In."
The home screen for your PayPal account appears.
Step 2.
Tap "Manage Balance" that appears toward the top of your screen.
The total balance currently sitting in your PayPal account will appear in this section.
The PayPal Balance screen appears, which also displays the total current balance of your
account.
Step 3.
Tap "Transfer Money" that appears along the bottom of the screen.
The Transfer to Your Bank screen appears, displaying a list of banks accounts associated
with your PayPal account.
Step 4.
Tap the bank account you want to transfer your money to.
A check mark will appear to the right of that bank, and a note will appear beneath that
bank account, informing you that all transfers are subject to review.
Step 5.
Tap "Next" at the bottom of the Transfer to Your Bank screen after selecting the bank
you want to transfer funds to.
The Enter the Amount screen appears.
Use the on-screen number pad to enter the dollar amount you want to transfer to your
selected bank account, and then tap "Next" at the bottom of the screen.
A Transfer screen appears, displaying the dollar amount you are transferring, and showing
that you're transferring that amount from your PayPal account to a linked bank account.
Step 6.
Review the transfer summary, and then tap "Transfer" at the bottom of the Transfer screen.
A screen with a white check mark at the top appears, informing you that you have successfully
initiated a transfer of funds from your PayPal account to your linked bank account.
Additionally, you'll also see an estimated time for the funds to arrive at your bank.
Tap "Done" at the bottom of this screen.
You'll return to the home screen for your PayPal account, where you'll see the funds
you requested to be transferred no longer reflected in your PayPal balance.
And now, let's walk through how to transfer money from your PayPal account to a linked
bank account on the PayPal website.
Step 1.
Open a Web browser and navigate to paypal.com.
Log into your account if prompted.
You'll arrive at the home screen for your PayPal account.
Step 2.
Click "Transfer to your bank" in the PayPal Balance section in the upper left corner of
your PayPal account home screen.
The Transfer to Your Bank screen appears, listing the bank accounts you've linked to
your PayPal account.
Step 3.
Click to select the radio button to the left of the linked bank account you want to transfer
funds from your PayPal account to.
A note will appear beneath that bank account, informing you that all transfers are subject
to review.
Click "Next" at the bottom of this screen.
The Transfer Amount screen appears.
Step 4.
Enter the dollar amount you want to transfer using your computer's keyboard, and then click
"Next."
The Review Your Transfer screen appears, displaying the dollar amount you are transferring, and
showing that you're transferring that amount from your PayPal account to a linked bank
account.
Click the blue "Transfer Now" button.
A screen with a white check mark at the top appears, informing you that you have successfully
initiated a transfer of funds from your PayPal account to your linked bank account.
Additionally, you'll also see an estimated time for the funds to arrive at your bank.
Click "Done" at the bottom of this screen.
You'll return to the home screen for your PayPal account, where you'll see the funds
you requested to be transferred no longer reflected in your PayPal balance.
Congratulations!
You can now successfully transfer funds from your PayPal account to a linked bank account
using either the PayPal mobile app or the PayPal website.
