Today E-Dublin TV will talk about fashion
We're here at Henry Street
which is one of the main shopping streets in the city centre
and we'll take a look at what people are wearing in the streets
Fashion here in Ireland is very democratic
everyone who wears trends, who buys
consumes fashion and information about it
wears it the way that suits them best
puts on a top like this, trousers like that
whatever fits best the personal style of each one
I think it’s different
they dare to go outside dressed like this
Once you get used to it, you feel very relaxed
what I see in the streets is that everything is fashionable
In Brazil they’re too concerned about trends
In Brazil I worried too much when I was going out
certain details, and here I realised that we can wear everything
do something nice, nice combinations
Nobody's gonna stare at you, you’ll feel good
There are crazy people and chilled out people
groomed
there’s a bit of everything
But actually there are some really strange outfits
which I find strange, but...
That's why everyone has freedom here, you know?!
Yes, yes, there’s always that
But if the person feels good dressed like that…
This is really nice because you free yourself from some things
you’d never wear in your hometown, in Brazil
because people there don’t think it's nice
and start to maybe find your own style
For everyone who's going to study abroad
who's already opening up to a new culture
a new country, new language
then why not open up to fashion too?
I feel that I can buy anything I like
I don’t have to wear the default
ah, because these trousers are this or that...
I buy things here that I normally wouldn’t buy in Brazil
even because it’s a very different style
so I think I'm more open to choosing different things
from the ones I was used to in Brazil
If I went to a shop ten months ago
what I'd buy would be really different from what I buy now
Exactly
I used to wear different clothes
There are things that are very different for us
but in a good way
So we like them and end up adhering to them
To take the opportunity to mix your summer clothes from Brazil
with a bit heavier ones
because here even though it’s summer it’s not so warm
Mix, find a new style and dare
It’s time to dare
For those who are in Brazil, you must have heard about them
and for those who are here, you’ve definitely heard about them
or bought something there
The large shops of fast fashion
that offer a lot of trends
a lot of fashion information
for a really affordable price
I like the sales here
they’re more affordable than in Brazil
And it’s not that expensive here
so you end up dressing in a nice way
I feel much more free to wear any type of clothing
So yes, you can buy nice things here without spending much
so no need to worry
And you guys in Brazil?
What’s your impression about fashion in Ireland now?
What about who’s already here?
What have you changed? What have you adhered to?
What do you like and don’t?
