Hullo, today I'm going to teach you what I do to deal with having disappointingly thing
lips. If you've got thin lips and you want to make them look thicker, I'll teach you
all the tricks I've learnt about how to create the illusion of having thicker lips. You might
also want to try a plumping lip gloss? Can't hurt. Just using normal makeup, pencils, lipsticks,
and things. I'll show you what I do! See what I mean? Much thin. So disappoint.
You want to keep your lips healthy in general, so you should drink plenty of water and give
them the occasional exfoliate with a cloth. Use a chapstick too. First trick: which I
like. Take a dark coloured eyeshadow, some sort of natural colour. Brown. This one's
Revlon... the same one I use on my cheeks! Just put a teeny weeny bit on your fingertip
and dab it in the corners of your mouth. It creates a kind of slightly doll-like look.
Not too much, just enough to make a little shadow.
Now, dark colours will make you lips look smaller, dark gives the illusion of ... making
things look smaller. So ideally you want a lighter colour. I'm going to use a... brownish,
pinkish kind of.... thing. So, come a little bit closer... you want to do a line around
your lips in pencil, but, go beyond where your lips actually stop. You want to be able
to create a sort of roundness. By accentuating the middle. Just watch. Yeah? Looks a bit
crazy at the moment. Not the outside, just the middle. Fill it in a bit. This is just
a brown pencil, the brand's been worn off. Next I'm going to fill that is with a sort
of... nude coloured lipstick. This is a Revlon one. "Sparkling Cider". How nice.
There. This trick is very good: next you want a white pencil. Again, can't tell the brand.
But whatever who cares. If not white, if your skin's dark, use a lighter shade than your
skin. And ... the two wee... lines, I've forgotten what they're called! That go between your
nose and your mouth. Draw lines on those. Like this, all the way up from your lips to
your nose. Then use the white pencil to outline the lipline that you've already done. Like
that. Another thing you can do, is take a darker colour, I'm going to use black cause
that's all I have, and put that one the outside corners. And blend it thoroughly. Next take
a black pencil, or a darker shade than the lipstick you have on, this can look bad so
be careful, try and create a little U shape at the bottom of your top lip.
Dunno if you can see that... And blend it.
Like that, but less terrible. Now this last step will require practice.
Try doing it a few times before going into public with it. What's a good illusion, is
to make it look like your lips are casting their own shadow. Go about half an inch or
so below where your lips stop, and draw a tiny, tiny, tiny little line. Tiny!
Tiny. Using a smudgy stick, or fingertip, blend it in so it looks more like a shadow.
And kind of push it downwards. If you over do it, you can even it out by putting powder
over the top. Or more white pencil. Sorry if I'm squinting a lot. It's hard for me to
see the screen. Another trick related to highlights, is to take the white pencil, or white eyeshadow,
or I dunno, I white lipstick? And put a little highlights in the centre of your lips. So
you've put dark on the corners and light in the middle, which you know... you'll see!
Do that all the way down. To the bottom, even the part that's not your real lips. And lastly,
but but least, lip gloss! Here's two different Loréan ones I like at the moment. It's best
to use a clear or pearly white one. Don't slather it on, but do cover up. Very carefully,
don't want to smudge your beautiful work. And there we are! Done! Doesn't that look
better? I hope. So yeah, do practice and if you give this a go, let me know how you get
on. Stay spoOky. Bye!
