Hi there, I'm Katie from the food blog Katie's Cucina and today I've teamed up with ForRent.com
to help you make the most of your apartment.
Especially in the kitchen. ForRent.com inspires renters to discover themselves starting with
where they live, so today I will help you discover a few easy ways to stay organized
in the kitchen; and yes - even in your cabinets. Alright, so in most apartment kitchens the
cabinet and countertop space is at a premium. I find that I like to keep my plates, bowls,
and cups; everything that I use on a daily basis on the bottom shelf. And any of the
premium items, that I might not use that often - on the top shelves. I also like to keep
my pantry items on hand and organized. This helps when I go to menu plan and I also am
about to run out to the store, and I want to make sure I have all the items on hand;
I can quickly look inside my cabinet and see what canned goods I have.
Let's talk about the plastic ware cabinet. It can always be a mess. My simple tip for
you; just take the extra 30 seconds and when you're taking them out of the dishwasher,
put it away the proper way. And, I like to buy stackable plastic ware, so that way it
helps me keep it in check. Lastly, we're moving on to the stove.
The stove, most stoves, have a pull drawer where you can place your cookie sheets or
cupcake tins, or anything that might be able to go inside the oven. I find that this is
a great extra place for storage. Just make sure that you don't put anything that does
not belong in the oven, because it could cause a fire.
And there you have it. Now you can be more organized in your kitchen. On behalf of myself
and ForRent.com thanks for watching, and we hope that we've inspired you to discover new
possibilities inside your apartment.
