Jesus made it very clear that we must abide in him. I've said many times that we must
abide in him. We must abide in Jesus. The reason I say this is because Jesus was telling
me over and over again when I first came to the Lord, he said abiding me, abide in me,
abide in me. That is what he also said, he said in the Bible he said, "Abide in me for
apart from me you can do nothing." And when I abided in Jesus, it was then that I was
able to live a holy life, new way and to overcome. To overcome ***, desire, evil thoughts, to
have the power to put all these things out.
Because I tell you truly friends, the only power in this world that can free you from
all these things that you are in bondage to, all these things that you just wish you could
be free from, the only power that is able to make you be able to follow Jesus and not
be struggling always in evil, the only power is through Christ, and it is to him that he
must go. Not the law, not all these religious commands or anything else. It is to Christ
you must go. You must abide in him. Through him you will overcome. He will give you the
power. He will. It's through abiding in Christ. And how do we abide in the Lord? We lay faith
in him from this day forth. We repent of our sins. We decide to put him first in our life.
We stop chasing after our own way and we make Jesus Lord of our life in all we do. We seek
the Lord in prayer.
We want to know him. We put our mind on the Almighty day and night. We meditate on his
words, the Lord Jesus Christ. We put him completely first. When you abide in his love that he
puts in you in that peace in that trust, in faith, then you abide in Christ and his power
will flow into your life and you'll become an overcomer. You'll be able to overcome all
those things that you just can't do on your own. You will truly find the way of light
and become an overcomer. It is through Christ and Jesus alone. To him you must go...
