Hi, I'm Laila Bergamasco and this is another edition of Cooltural Trips for the site Update or Die
I'd like to start with Gustavo Giglio's post about the project Underwater Dogs
Created by the photographer Seth Casteel, who is launching a photobook of dogs with unique expressions
of course, as the name suggests: underwater.
Clearly the photos speak by themselves.
Btw, Gustavo had mentioned he was accepting dogs for a photoshoot under the water.
How did it go, Gustavo?
This recalled me a recently released project named Architecture for Dogs.
The idea was put into practice by Kenya Hara, Creative Director at Muji.
The project consists of objects designed by architects around the world adapted for particular dog breeds
Additionally, customers are able to customise the products, improve their design and reupload them to the website.
This is for sure a great collaborative project, which made me think of my dog's Christmas present.
Another post I'd like to comment about is The Tiny Desk Concerts by Wagner Brenner.
The project is a videocast produced by Bob Boilen, who hosts artists and bands playing live in his own (little) office.
A simple initiative that deserves recognition for the weird place to host a concert...
As we're talking about music...Have you ever seen a musical treasure-hunting?
The app Echolocator takes you through a musical journey around London.
The track starts near Angel station, where you are able to watch the 1st band performing from your device
For those who are not familiar with that part of London, the area is called Little Venice by Londoners.
The entire track lasts 1h30 and after completed, you'll be able to download the videos and songs from iTunes.
Well, a nice way to fight piracy and launch new talent.
Now I'd like to talk about cinema in reference to George Camara Lopes's post about a new film based on Hitchcock
In Europe there are various formats of cinema I'd like to share with you.
You must have heard of outdoor cinema. There's nothing new around this format of cinema.
Except from the fact that some sessions are more like parties than cinema themselves.
Another type of cinema is the Secret Cinema. All you need to do is to buy the ticket online,
but you don't know what film you're gonna watch, the venue where they're gonna play the film...
nor who's gonna be there..
Apparently, the surprise behind the Secret Cinema attracts many curious people.
I've tried to buy a ticket and the tickets for for the coming weeks are sold out.
Recently, the latest trend in London has been the Hot Tub cinema.
Well, cinema is normally a place to chill out, eat some popcorn and have a drink. But...
have you ever thought of watching a film from a tub with friends or even people who you've never seen before...?
This is the purpose of the Hot Tub cinema. If you're interested in renting out a private tub for you and friends
It costs 225 pounds or 28 pounds for the single ticket.
but in this case you'd need to stay in a tub with random people...
I hope you enjoyed the show AND the flowers... See you in the next edition of the Cooltural Trips.
