Hi, I'm Melina Piroso and welcome to Expert Village. So the next step is we are going
to go ahead and play around with our neckline. As you can see this is a regular crew cut
boring neckline. So, what you want to do is you want to go ahead and plan out what type
of neckline you would like. And if it helps you can even put the T-Shirt on. But you can
probably eyeball it. So what I'm going to do is give it a more dramatic scoop-line.
So the first thing we're going to do is decide whether or not we are going to remove the
shoulder. If you remove the shoulder, the one problem you may have is that the whole
shirt is going to sag and fall off of you because this is a very stretchy material.
We are just going to go ahead and give it a little bit of a different neck line, but
we're going to leave the shoulders on. First thing you want to do, is turn your T-Shirt
inside out. The reason that you want to turn your T-Shirt inside out is because you never
want to mark on the outside of your fabric because that is the part that is showing to
the world so; you never want to mark on it. Once the T-Shirt is inside out, you are going
to go ahead and draw in the neckline that you want. If you are nervous are eyeballing
it,
you can take your ruler and measure to make it exact. The next step is: we are going to pin our
shirt up at the shoulder so it doesn't move around while we cut it. The next step: we
take our scissors and we cut all around the drawn area and we are cutting both the front
and the back. Before it was a very plain, boring white T-Shirt and now it has a very
playful, almost off the shoulder look.
