Oh, hi! Notice I'm looking at this drawing here.
I love looking at different artwork. It really makes me think about my past
I think about when I was a 5 year old boy and I was going to school.
I was very young and I was scared and worried about going to school for the first time and interacting with the hearing kids.
But it was a wonderful experience because they brought me an interpreter. So in each of my classes that I took with
The interpreter was wonderful. My teacher would talk, and my interpreter would interpret and I would watch her.
Anyway, as I grew up, that was and improtant part of my life. If it wasn't for the interpreter, my life would have been different.
My self-esteem would have been different and less, I would have struggled in my role as a leader
My education would have been limited, probably. I would have been maybe more isolated, too!
Again, now I work here at Bridges and it really brings back sweet, sweet memories of growing up working with an interpreter.
When I was in college here in Nashville, Bridges provided me an interpreter. And I love her, all the way up until now.
I hope that my experience and seeing for myself, influences the Deaf and hard of hearing community. We feel like we can empower you and hopefully raise your self-esteem as well.
We want to give you some good vibes when it comes to education and things and help you develop your skills and be very successful. If I can do it, that means that you can do it, too!
So now, when I look at this artwork, ir really makes me think: education never stops. It continues through your whole life.
We should always cherish that.
So let us connect with you and grow our relationship and help our lives have a more full experience.
It's a good thought. Thanks for watching!
