Congrats to DK for taking the title here. In a BO7, it is understood that it must've been quite tiring.
This interview is a collective interview from various media outlets.
First of all, let's have each player share your feelings on winning this competition.
Very happy. We didn't think we'd be behind 0-3, but we didn't give up either.
We found our form again and played it one game at a time. Thank you to those who have supported us.
I feel alright. Yesterday it did occur to me that we might be down 0-3. Only after that was it better for us, because now there's no pressure.
I don't know how to put it. I want to win bigger events. This one was alright.
This was amazing. Teammates were awesome. That is all.
I feel the biggest thing was the process. We went from 0-1 to 0-2 to 0-3, and in that process we were all in a weak place mentally.
But through ensuing adjustments, encouragement from friends, and our coach's lecturing, we managed to turn it around in time.
I feel that this will be a great help to us in the future when we're playing from behind or have bad starts.
Still that same sentence: "We've completed a miracle"
Next question for B-God: Following the early 0-3, that break in between must've had a big effect, because after the break your team did much better in terms of both draft and execution.
So we'd like to ask, during the break, what did your coach, 71, address with you guys?
[iceiceice: We ate (something good)]
Because the break was fairly long, around two hours, so we briefly discussed the reasons behind our earlier losses.
And then we made some adjustments to our tactics and approach.
Honestly, after the first three games, we had no idea what we were doing, nor did we have any clear idea of what we were able to do anymore.
I feel we were pretty lucky to be able to make the adjustments in time, really. It was a collective effort by everyone.
Okay, next question I want to ask iceiceice. Hello iceiceice, previously I had seen you saying that you are a fan of MMY's. Why is that?
Because... apart from playing, eating, and sleeping, he doesn't do anything else.
Very professional.
Oh, okay, got it. And another more peripheral question... You're so good on the Dota battlefield, is your significant other helpful to you?
Yeah. After I play, I go find my girlfriend. That way it takes away the pressure, I feel as if as long as I play my best, that's okay. No need to think too much.
In the past, I would get really nervous. So the help to me is pretty big.
Next question for LaNm. Your coach's influence has been quite pronounced here today. Can you share with us your own thoughts on him? You've known him for quite a while, so you should have some good insight for us.
It wasn't only today. Ever since we came back from MLG, he's been a big help to us.
From mentality, to strategy, to helping us understand things and what we should do in esports by explaining them to us in the context of professional athletes.
Lots of different aspects. I don't really know how else to describe it all. I think you guys all understand, and that's good enough.
Then, under the leadership of your new coach, will your goal be TI4 champions?
Yes.
[iceiceice makes random joke about someone]
Next question for BurNIng: At MLG last year, your team got second place. And you said that you didn't have the fate of a champion.
This time, having finally won, what did you want to say right afterwards? Anything to fans?
At the time... after MLG those were words of emotion... and today I've hit myself in the face, made myself look silly by saying those words.
But I'm very happy to hit myself in the face today, prove myself wrong.
Want to ask Mushi: From a viewer's perspective, there was a big difference between your drafts and tactics in the first three games and the rest of the games.
What happened in the first three games to put you guys in such a bad place?
We hadn't woken up yet. We were still sleeping.
Because our training usually only begins around 2-3pm, so...
So you guys weren't in good shape in the morning.
You could put it that way, yes.
But honestly, I still feel that I failed a bit personally.
In a BO7, to lose three straight games, for myself as a very professional player that shouldn't happen.
We should do better in making adjustments after one loss. This is something we should work on in the future.
Today, we won, a lot of it is down to good luck. In the future, we will work even harder.
Do you feel that if there was no break after game 3, and you went straight to game 4, would you still have had the chance to make the comeback?
There would've still been the chance. We wouldn't have given up.
Didn't Hao need to go get his new government ID card (purported reason for the big break in between)? Thanks Hao!
Next I want to ask MMY some questions.
A few days ago there was a female fan who had sang two songs for you. Have you heard? What are your thoughts?
[iceiceice: He's been listening to it every day!]
[MMY: Yes I've heard it]
[iceiceice: trolling]
MMY, your thoughts on the song?
The voice is pretty nice. And... I dunno what else to say.
Okay. This is your first title of 2014. Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans, or to that female fan?
Thank you for your support...
Before I came to Shanghai, she asked me to ask you a question: Right now, do you have a boy, or a girl, that you like?
I don't know how to answer. What kind of question is this.
Ah, okay. Then thank you to DK for doing this interview with all of us.
And we hope that DK can achieve even greater results in 2014. Thank you.
