I'm in a parking lot,
waiting for the right time
to go inside the office.
Weird, cause...
...it's my first day at work, and
I hope it's a good day.
Not sure what to expect...
...I know a lot of it
will just be orientation.
Commute went well though.
That was good.
Well, it's about 10:45 and
I've spent
most of the morning
just hanging out
at people's cubicles.
They're not ready for me
until around 11
for HR and orientation.
But I'm pretty excited
about the things that I've
seen so far.
People here seem pretty friendly
and and I saw
an old friend, so that helped a lot.
Walked around the office, that helped a lot.
And so far
overly impressed, and
and excited. Can't wait to -quote-
get started, even though, for the most part,
I just want to keep drinking it all in.
Day's going by pretty nicely.
I just got access to the computer,
and got access to
the Internet.
I'm pretty excited!
I haven't had a chance to talk to
my new manager, but
the buzz in that place
is pretty nice, and
so far so good.
I think today will be a nice day
in that
it'll be the only day where
I don't really have to do anything necessarily.
I just got to keep orienting myself.
So I'm reading a lot, and
figuring out the network.
OK. It's 5:30. Almost!
And I'm gonna run out of here, and
see what the commute is like getting home.
But I was pretty excited about today.
I'm hoping tomorrow, to just get
more integrated with the work that they're doing,
but overall, it was
a great first day.
I'll speak with everybody, next time!
