We don't want a Sunderland student that is in a box,
we want their individuality to flourish.
We're about encouraging that individuality,
we're not about moulding them, we're about developing them.
What attracted me to come here...
first, I think it was more because it's so close to the coast.
The idea of having a beach so close by really attracted me because it's just a walk away.
If I wanted to clear my head if the things were a bit too stressful.
The social aspect... they're always organising parties, end of term parties, Christmas parties.
I love Sunderland Uni, I love the city and everything.
Everybody's up for having a laugh...
Everyone's friendly; it's like, good vibes.
You get to know new people from the University who you wouldn't get to know otherwise.
I came here for an open day and I loved what I saw,
the facilities, the people are very friendly.
I made some great friends, the place, the atmosphere at the University
I just think it's fantastic.
I've made friends for life, and I'll never lose contact with them.
It was so easy just to fit in, everyone just makes you feel really welcome.
There is a great variety of Sport at Sunderland.
I'm on the Elite Athlete Scheme which provides us with a bit of financial backing.
The Elite Athlete Scheme, the finance in that goes towards
travel expenses and competition entries.
I'm coming to the end of my course now
and no complaints whatsoever in the past three years I've been here.
Coming to this University and studying is very exciting,
and today I was very happy for the Graduation.
It's moments like this you cherish
and you remember for the rest of your life,
when you're old and grey and you've got your own grandchildren.
