Wild Apricot makes it easy to build a website that automatically connects with your membership
database.
It starts with the online application form, which allows new members to enter their personal
information and dues payment with just a few clicks. New members can be added instantly
to your member database and gain access to the website right away, or you can put an
approval process in place so you can review new member applications first. It's up to
you. You can also set-up recurring renewal payment notices to go out to members automatically
-- no more chasing down lapsed accounts.
Access to individual pages or sections of your site can be limited to just your members,
who login using their individual username and password. You can also customize access
according to membership level or group. For example, you can use this feature to help
members find the information that is most relevant to them, or as an incentive for upgrading
their membership to get access to addition content.
You can also allow members to update their personal information through the self-service
feature. You can control which information is for member editing, such as address or
contact details, and which information requires an administrator to change, such as membership
level.
Creating a searchable member directory is a snap. The integrated membership database
means you never have to worry about manually updating the listings -- this happens automatically
as changes in the database are made. You can even create multiple directories -- for example,
you could have a public directory which only includes your gold level members, but have
a restricted access directory that includes everyone in your organization.
