What is the best way to get rid of horrible period cramps?
I’m assuming you don’t have endometriosis.
What is that?
It is when the uterine lining has migrated into the uterus wall or abdomen. When you
have your period, you have simultaneous internal bleeding.
That sounds painful.
Solutions range from hormonal contraception to ablation therapy to pregnancy.
I never thought of pregnancy as a solution to much, except a cure for baby craziness.
Pregnancy does stop your period for at least nine months. And many women with endometriosis
then breast feed as long as possible to delay their period returning.
What is a less drastic solution than barefoot and pregnant?
Get injectable contraceptives that stop your period.
That’s a maybe.
Take plenty of vitamin E and fish oil to provide the nutrients whose lack could cause painful
cramps.
I need something I can do now. As long as it isn’t a heated *** to truly get to
the source.
Heat pads on your stomach will help.
What else?
Take pain relievers like ibuprofen and aspirin, especially those that are anti-inflammatory.
And you could workout.
I don’t feel like getting out of bed.
Studies found that working out half an hour a day five days a week decreases the pain
of your period.
By replacing it with muscle aches and pains elsewhere in my body.
Menstrual cramps are a type of muscle cramp. Try taking potassium supplements or eating
a banana, since a lack of that nutrient can cause cramps.
I need a pick me up.
Just avoid caffeine. It can make the cramps worse.
Now you’ll tell me to stay away from chocolate.
And coffee, and cola, and tea.
Which is downright depravation. This is the one time I can eat all the chocolate ice cream
I want.
So get a back massage to help with the cramps.
That works wonders short term, but it’ll blow my budget if it is a full week every
month.
At some point, it becomes a tax deductible medical expense.
I love PMS!
