our partners in Europe

Fortunately, I’m not paid as a diplomat so
I don’t have to wage those battles
I can observe them
but I can say my own perspective which is I think those battles are healthy
they are enormously frustrating, they are
but those battles are health because
uh... absent those fights
domestically
and internationally
that is a source of strength and constant redefinition
and reassertion
of these basic values
