did all of our is a professor at the university of missouri and he is a
actually a pad medical school professor
and it you know recently discovered that he had a form of a copper throat cancer
he discovered alum in his neck and he thought i was probably scar tissue from
the surgery that i've had before but now it turned out to be cancer and since he
didn't do anything about it immediately after discovering the lump it had spread
to his lymph nodes and his bones the prognosis is a great for him but he
decided look since i'm a medical school professor this is a great opportunity
for me to share my experience with my students so he is actually documenting
everything that he's going through duties of logs on you to youtube has
evolved into something so amazing because it went from
just being about cat videos
so now lol decided being a blog about professors who are going to cancer
or people who are going through some sort of surgery may want to talk about
the recovery process you see a lot of that on youtube
but anyway i think that it's really courageous for him to share
what he's going to with the world yeah not just his students but everyone who's
going to cancer everyone who is uh... you know
wondering what chemotherapy is like what radiation therapy is like i don't know
if i could do it personally it's it's it's pretty hard wrenching like when he
he talks about a to z_ was originally posting this video for members of the
faculty to see
uh... any he's just so upbeat about it like to talk so hard to miss the key is
about his chances and everything
uh... but it's sad to because he he talks with stage four
uh... i think many of us have lost people to cancer not lost several very
close members of my family so
it was a pretty sad thing but
he has found a way that's for
uh... his ordeal into of learning experience for other people i think for
people struggling with cancer or people who know people were certainly cancer
the embassies experience to see how he's facing it is going to be
i think a very valuable thing definitely and going back to what you said about
him being a p
he really doesn't know how long he's gonna live you know when he was
diagnosed with throat cancer at the doctor said i don't know it could be six
months it could be five years but this is going to be the reason you die in the
future
and it you know you have to choices at that point and the choices okay im gonna
move around in the happen to live a miserable six months before it pass away
or i've been enjoying every moment of my life that i have left and i'd think that
a lot of people eight if they were given those two choices would probably take a
look and let the update and enjoy what i have left to spend time with my family
he's going to go on and crew
has with his wife soon which
it's just like melts my heart i'm very very excited for him in night cruise
even though i don't know him personally ait consider an honor to go through
uh... some of that breast cancer treatments that my friend ken what
but she was thirty years old when she was diagnosed with time
stage three breast cancer at at the age of thirty when you are diagnosed with
breast cancer
the younger you are that more vicious the cancer is right so i went through
you know
i documented just through actually did a little documentary on it
uh... somebody can look at their peace treatment she did some of the radiation
therapy she had
and it's a very enlightening experience and it just
shows the it makes you have a greater appreciation for life
and it makes you realize that you're not invincible because a lot of young people
feel like they're even civil yeah but i love the he's also lake
have a little bit of fun with that like did he say in the story that he was
planning i think he's done since then he's gotten to keep up its any labeled
one kansas and one oklahoma for the two rivals in the schools european at his
worst points he's going to be sticking into of the rivalries as university
gap he's he's an incredible person
and by late just to know if everyone on my frickin is
sheep beat the cancer she's living she's healthy itself
point
