Let me show you how to use Duo two-factor authentication with a
regular phone number.
So this would be a phone number for your land line in your office,
or for a cell phone that's just a regular cell phone - not a smartphone.
so assuming you've already got that set up in your accounts page,
then all you need to do when you're going to a website that requires Duo login
is enter your Internet ID and your password. If the phone is your default
Duo device,
you can just type in your regular password, but my land line is a secondary
Duo device
so I'll enter my password, then a comma,
and then my Call Back Code from my accounts page. In this case my code is
"phone2"
And of course you'll need to be with your phone when you do this.
So when I tap "Sign In" [ringing phone] - there's my phone ringing, and I'll go ahead and answer it
So I'm getting a recording on my phone that's prompting me to press
any key, and that literally is any key, and after I hit that key on my phone
I immediately got into the system that was trying to log into. That's all you
need to do to use Duo with your telephone.
