Hi! My name is Antar with Blue Phoenix Media you can find us on the web at www.bluepmedia.com
and in conjunction with Expert Village we’re going to be talking to you today about videography.
Now the next segment that we’re on is we’re talking about the backlight, now we’ve just
discussed the key light which is the main one that’s coming from this direction and
we’ve just talked about the fill light which is the secondary one coming from this direction.
Now we have another light which is the backlight, now the backlight is actually the light that’s
on the actual background so if you look over here it’s the one that’s lighting the
background if that wasn’t there that would actually all be dark. Now a lot of times is
that it livens up your scene you could put like shapes on it, if you look really close
you can see kind of like a slash of light coming across that it just breaks up the minutiae
of it, you can also you know colorize it up and so forth. So that backlight it actually
solely lights that back actual wall and sometimes other lights can substitute for that as well.
