Diary of a closet
Vanessa isn't the only famous fashion blogger we have
there's also 21 years old Luanna Perez Garraud
who has earned international followers
since her very beginnings. Currently, she has reached
the amazing amount of 80 000 followers.
^And one day, like
a bunch of people started writing me, asking
"why don't you have a blog?"
"we want to know more about your style" or
"how did you make that DIY vest? make a blog" and stuff like that.
I started posting and posting,
little by little I got to really dig it
and got to actually taking over my own blog
without feeling obligated to post constantly
or having the perception that the blog controlled me.
I started making my own schedule,
and setting times to blog.
And that's how it was.
The thing is that
I just carried on blogging
because I saw that in some way
I was helping people out.
I mean, a lot of girls started emailing me
giving me thanks for
opening their minds about fashion,
saying that they lived in a place
where everybody wore the same
or that they lived in a conservative area,
I don't know, things like that.
And these girls learned that fashion
is all about creativity.
It's not about wearing the ultimate t-shirt or the nicer pants,
but to use the stuff you already have
and finding the way it looks good.
^Take the camera off!
For Luanna, one of the best experiences
since her blog started
was being chosen for a spanish brand
to compete in a worldwide contest.
She was one of the five finalist and won a trip to Barcelona.
So lucky!
One of the coolest stuff was Mango.
I uploaded my photo in a contest
just to see what would happen.
It was about "The best five bloggers"
I mean, "The best five looks"
Five girls with the best looks
would fly to Barcelona to do a photoshoot
and one of them would become Mango's It Girl.
When I saw it, I just said "Let's try"
and out of nothing I realized I had like
a bunch of hypes, and out of nothing
I get an email from the owner of Look Beauty saying
"congrats, you're leaving to Barcelona in five days".
I get a lot of emails from girls
saying that they want to start a blog
or that they thinking about starting one,
as if it was something you have to be ready for,
you know,
but it's all the opposite
the more natural, the faster you do it,
the more sincere you are, the better.
That's where people notes that you're authentic,
and they like you.
I think that's the key.
For example, I posted pictures, like, from the cat I found on the street,
to the restaurant I went that day,
and then some outfit posts,
or how I modified a denim jacket.
That kind of natural, simple stuff.
Personal stuff
