There's robots everywhere! Time to party!
Whatever you try, it's useless!
Meteor smash!
This reminds me of my childhood...
Stop this.
Sonic Adventure 3... it's a concept that many Sonic fans hope would come true. It's what
was believed to be the Holy Grail of Sonic The Hedgehog; a prophecy that would bring
the series out of its mediocrity and SEGA into fame once again.
Hello everyone and welcome back to another electrifying video! I'm your host, Zip Zap,
and I'm here to show you why... Sonic Adventure 3 is never going to happen.
The reason why I'm making this video is because there were rumors that on the 22nd, SEGA is
going to announce a new Sonic game, and everybody is presuming that it's Sonic Adventure 3.
See, the whole Sonic Adventure formula began in 1998, with the first Sonic Adventure game.
Back then, it was praised for its gameplay, graphics, large cast of playable characters,
and soundtrack. It eventually became such a huge success that it shattered the sales
of other Dreamcast titles, and became a family hit. Sonic Team USA saw how well the game
was received, and aimed to take what made that game successful and strengthen it. However,
they instead wanted to focus more on the story than the actual gameplay, and so ideas were
made. The result was Sonic Adventure 2, released in 2001. The game, relative to its predecessor,
received higher ratings at the time despite Sonic Team USA's approach.
The concept eventually inspired Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, and eventually, Sonic The Hedgehog.
The 2006 game, not the original.
SEGA and Sonic Team decided to finally leave the Adventure formula alone when Sonic '06
bombed, but it still makes its way into later titles, but not as exaggerated as it was.
A good example would be Sonic Boom!
Don't call anybody!
I have no idea why, but something is telling me that Sonic '06 IS the Sonic Adventure 3
we've been waiting for. Out of all the Sonic games that were released this century, it
looks like Sonic '06 is as close as we can ever get to a Sonic Adventure 3. If you go
to sonic.wikia.com and look up Sonic '06, you can see that there are two whole sections
dedicated to pointing similarities that the game has to the two original Adventure titles.
These were some of the points that really caught my eye:
Sonic '06 and Sonic Adventure 1 both had different soundtracks at some point during a single
level. This means there was more than one song in one stage, unlike non-Adventure games
(not including Generations) where there was only one song per stage.
Sonic '06 and Sonic Adventure 2 introduced a new hedgehog. Keyword: hedgehog. In Sonic
Adventure 2, Shadow The Hedgehog was introduced, and in Sonic '06, Silver The Hedgehog was
introduced.
Sonic '06 and both Sonic Adventure tiles allowed you to upgrade your characters to introduce
new abilities.
And lastly, Sonic '06 and Sonic Adventure 1 had a character's lips move even after they
finished their lines. *laugh*
Honestly, forgot to mention this in the video, the Sonic Adventure series is near the quality
of Sonic '06. The games didn't age very well, and you could now see a lot of issues that
we were to blind to see back in the day. It'll eventually happen to today's games that are
so far, loved by players and critics alike.
I don't think Sonic Team, or at least SEGA, is going to announce Sonic Adventure 3 at
all; most likely because they're afraid; afraid of making another Sonic '06. A "Sonic '016"
if you want to put it that way.
There's probably a different reason why they're not going to; maybe they don't want to listen
to their cancer of a fanbase, or they just don't feel like working on a new Adventure
title!
Anyways, these are my thoughts on Sonic Adventure 3 and you've made it to the end of the video
without raging and unsubscribing from me. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get attacked
and rants are going to be made about me but... hey, welcome to Sonic! If you have different
view on Sonic Adventure 3, let me know in the comments! I'm all ears.
Thank you for watching the video; if you like this, don't forget to rate and subscribe for
future content. If you like the gameplay, click on the annotation and subscribe to them;
they were the ones who made it.
