Google Analytics Intelligence Alerts are a great way to monitor your data and
discover new insights.
There are two types of alerts in Google Analytics intelligence.
The first type of alert is an automated alert.
With automated alerts, Google Analytics will automatically monitor your data and
when an anomaly is found, will send you an alert.
We don't know why the anomaly happened, but we'll let you know that something is
different in your data. You can then investigate more and try to understand
why.
The second type of alert is a custom alert.
Custom alerts let you create on automatic alerting system around your
most important metrics. For example, if you're an e-commerce website, you might
create a custom alert to monitor your revenue. If the revenue drops by more than five
percent day-over-day or week-over-week, you'll get an alert. You can then
monitor your business and try to adjust based on what's happening.
Use alerts to monitor your data and to find new insights that you weren't
expecting.
