Now, if you're going to have alcohol at your party you need to make sure and deal with,
safety. And that means making sure that your friends are not getting behind the wheel of
a car if they've had a whole lot to drink. That is irresponsible of them, and also irresponsible
of you, being the party host. Make sure your friends are getting home safe. Now, if people
have had to much to drink, you should make sure and basically have a "crash station".
A crash station, where basically they can go and sober up before getting behind the
wheel of a vehicle, or even waiting for the next morning. There's no problem with people
staying overnight, you know, on a couch or on a sofa. Even if you're not really great
acquaintances with them, you don't want them getting behind a car, and you don't want them
going out and getting in a car wreck. Some of you may remember this commercial, of the
two beer bottles, or cans, or glasses. Yeah, that's what happens when you drink and drive,
which is bad. So this is like really easy. Don't mean to get preachy here, but St. Patrick's
Day and alcohol go together like butter and bread, and if you're going to have alcohol
at your party you need to make sure that everyone can get home safely. Key check points, have
them check your keys with you. Have you give the keys back at the end. You make sure that
they're okay to drive, as much as you can. There's only so much you can do, but there's
a whole lot that you can still do to make sure that somebody doesn't get behind a vehicle
and operate it when they're inebriated.
