Our main booth is representing all the sign making techniques.
They re new on the market and one of our focus products is for sure the HP latex technology.
In this show there s also a contest called designmaker
and we would like to combine the design and the sign making industry
in a way where you have more creativity in the production.
That was basically the idea - to have a contest where the people
not only have to look for the design of the graphic applications,
but they also have to look at how it s produced afterwards
and which technology is the best for doing it.
I m doing the HP latex application demo here in the booth.
We have had a lot of people this morning
and a lot of people now for the second session
with a lot of interest in the applications.
What can you do with HP latex printing technology
and what are the advantages of the HP latex printing technology
if you compare that with solvent technology?
The advantage of HP latex technology is really very, very big.
You have no penetration of PVC vinyl, for example from solvent,
because there s no solvent in the latex ink.
Also, the advantage you have if you look at your work in-process
you don t have to wait for drying time.
So you can just finish your work after the print comes out of your printer.
It's definitely very interesting for me,
because of the very good print quality and durability of three years.
So far we have not seen that with digital printing.
Another advantage is that you may not have to laminate - including for outdoor use.
That sounds very interesting and exciting to me.
We took part last year at designmaker.
It was very interesting work for us.
We took part because we wanted to create a very special design
in a very unusual way
where we can work absolutely freely just having a basic idea.
When we create a brand, it has to be clear that you can use it for every single media
and that it s consistent in every single size.
We have to think about all the different materials and the properties of all the different media.
So for example the mug is made of porcelain.
The rollup display is made of a special foil.
Then, the wrapping for the car is another very special material.
On textiles, we have to think about the coloring and textures.
If you have the chance to look around here, you will see a lot of nice, new applications
that you can have here for your printing area,
and you have the possibility to offer so much more to your customers than you could before.
So, you can learn a lot of new things and get new ideas for your daily business.
