Look, I was pretty impressed with this event, with this fair.
First of all, the WTM is a fair of major importance at the international level;
it's a seal of quality.
Nowadays the name WTM represents a lot for the country.
We have WTM London, WTM Asia, WTM for the Arab markets
and, with WTM Latin America, Brazil is being included once
and for all in international trade with regard to fairs, large international fairs.
So, like other fairs we have here in Brazil, I think that this is one that shows a lot
of professionalism.
I was very impressed by the fact that there were more than 140 foreign buyers present here.
So Embratur, as the official tourism body,
is very happy to receive an event of this size in the city of São Paulo.
More than 140 buyers present; I'm very happy.
I think the official tourism body, Embratur, the Ministry of Tourism,
is happy to have an event of this size,
where we can have various countries from Latin America present under one roof.
I had some good meetings here with the director of the National Council of Mexico,
and I met colleagues from Uruguay.
We also signed technical cooperation agreements with Germany.
In other words, I definitely saw an international fair in our country,
one that was of an international standard.
Embratur is a body that's always supporting large international events.
I'm certain that Embratur will always be present at a fair like this one,
which brings benefits to the country and that brings in journalists and traders.
It will be here, along with the Ministry,
placing its institutional seal on this great event.
There's no doubt that Embratur plays a fundamental role within the MICE Segment,
which is the business segment,
and we're reaping the fruits of this effort to attract international events now.
We'd already been reaping this result because we held major sporting events and corporate events.
We had the World Youth Games, the Pan-American Games
and we're going to have the Catholic World Meeting now in June,
the Confederations Cup, the World Cup, the Americas Cup and Rio 2016,
which will be our Olympic Games.
I'm certain that this fair has come at the right moment,
when the world is focusing on Brazil;
the eyes [of everyone] are turned towards the country and towards Latin America.
So, Reed and the WTM focusing on our country to hold this fair in Latin America was very timely.
