Today I'm going to show you how to create a celebrity-inspired
dramatic eye, which is really just a very smoky eye look.
First, always start with a moisturizer for around your eye.
Today I used the Olay Regenerist Lifting Eye Serum.
It comes in this cute little bottle, but inside this
cute little bottle is a really great product.
You just need a little dab, and you're going to apply that
around the eye area to keep it moist,
and give you a lifted eye look.
Next you want to go ahead and prime the eye.
If you have an eye primer at home, or an eye shadow primer,
that works fine, but you can also use a concealer like the
CoverGirl Invisible Concealer, which will help grab the product
and help it keep it on your eyelid a little bit longer.
So today, that's what I'm going to do, is I'm going to apply a
little bit of this on my eyelid, and also you can see it cancels
out any of the redness that I have on my eyelid as well.
Now that I have that on there, I'm ready to go ahead
and apply my eye shadow.
The eye shadow I'm using today is the CoverGirl
Drama Eyes Four Kit, and it looks like this.
And first I'm going to start off by using the silver, which is
this color here on the lid, up to the crease,
and you can use the applicator.
I'm just going to use the fat part of the applicator,
and there's also a pointy end tip.
So I'm going to go ahead and apply that to the lid.
Great, so now we have the silver.
So we're going to go ahead and do the cranberry,
which is really fun for the crease.
I'm going to go ahead and use the other side of the round tip
of the applicator, and if you just want to tap it so you don't
get any extra product on there, sometimes the sponge can
collect a little bit too much.
So you're just going to rub that right in the crease,
and a little bit above it.
You can use a brush to blend it a little bit better if you'd
like, and I do have one here that will just help blend it.
So now that we have the first two colors on the eye,
we're going to go ahead and do the black.
And a lot of people are like, whoa,
I don't want to wear black on my eyes.
Well, this is going to give you the smoky look,
so you definitely want to use the black.
I'm going to take the pointed end, and I always start in the
corner outer edge of my eye when I'm doing a smoky look,
and that always helps me create a V shape on the end.
So I'm going to go ahead and make the bottom of the V
and just pull that in to the lower part of the crease.
And you can also pull -- if you want it to look a little bit
more dramatic and darker on the lid, you can cover up a little
bit of the silver and just have it fade lightly
into the inner corner of the eye.
So it's almost like painting, you're just fading the color
inwards, a little bit darker on the outer part of the eye.
And again, you can use a brush to blend that.
And now we're going to do the other eye.
If you want to make it even more dramatic,
using an eyeliner will really make it pop.
I'm using the CoverGirl Liquiline Blast today,
and I love, again, this formula because it goes on so smooth,
and I just start on the inner part, the center part
of my eyelid and work my way out, and then in.
And it's just really quick.
That's why I love this eyeliner.
And now I'm just going to line the inner part of the waterline,
and this is just my waterline.
So this is just going to give it
a little bit more dramatic effect.
Last but not least, the mascara is always important.
Today I'm going to be using the CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion.
This is a fusion of volumizing product and lengthening.
So it's the best of both worlds.
It's when you're going for a dramatic eye --
why not have both?
So I'm just going to pull that through my eyelashes
on the top and the bottom.
So that is how you create your celeb-inspired dramatic eye.
You can try this at home, you can use it for a special event,
or just a night out.
Enjoy!
