This short video will provide you with instructions on
how to add a metacourse enrollment method
to add enrollments from another section into another course of your choosing.
Here we are in the course and AsULearn,
and in order to add
enrollments from another section into
another section you've chosen and simply go to the course that
that you'd like to bring
other enrollments into;
in this case on the course called sample meta--
you'll navigate to the users menu
the second option bounces enrollment methods
in the new version of AsULearn you will not have to request a meta course
anymore
you can essentially turning any course and metacourse
adding the metacourse enrollment methods
pointed to other sections.
So, from the sample
meta-- my course I'm in right now,
I'll simply choose
"Add a course meta link"
and when i choose "Add a course meta link," I'm presented with a pull down
menu of every course
in which i have the Teacher role.
So,
let's say that
Sample Child One is another section, and I would like to have those enrollments
pulled into this class so I could have everybody in one place.
So I'll choose Sample Child One
in add the meta enrollment method.
And now you can see that in
the Sample Meta course
I've pulled in
five enrollments
from the
Sample Child One course, and I can continue as many times as I want
if I wanted to get the users in
Sample Child Two (notice Sample Child One is gone from the list because those
emrollments have already been brought over into this course)
I'll choose Sample Child Two
add the method there
and so now I'm up to ten users--
five from that child course five from this child course.
So now, if I go back to the Sample Meta
Course's home page
and I go to Users and click on "Enrolled Users,"
we can see now
that we have users coming from Sample Child One,
users coming from
Sample Child Two,
and essentially we have created...
we have turned the Sample Meta into an actual meta course without having to fill
out a request form, asking one's permission, etc.
