Playground Safety
Playground Safety -- the rules to be safe!
Jill: I'm Jill.
Jack: And today, we're going to be talking about playground safety.
Jill: Playground safety is very important.
Jack: Why is it important?
Jill: Because, if you aren't safe, you can get hurt, or you won't have much fun on the
playground.
Jack: That's true, Jill.
Jill: Now, one thing we should remember when we're on the playground is to always stay
in the playground area so a teacher can see you.
Jack: Good point.
Teacher: Oh, no! Jack is not in the playground area! I cannot see him! What if he gets hurt?
Jack: What, Jill?
Jill: Come in the playground area!
Jill: So if you get hurt, a teacher may not be able to see you and you may need help.
Jack: Okay.
-transition-
Jack: One thing about playground safety is that you need to use the equipment right.
Jill: Here's a reason and an example of when you do not use the playground safety equipment
properly.
-transition-
Jill: I'm not using the playground equipment properly. You always have to use it or else,
whoa!
Other doll: Oh no! Jill, are you okay?
Jill: Yeah, I just hurt myself because I wasn't using the equipment properly. I should be
more careful next time!
Other doll: Yeah, Jill. Do you need help?
Jill: No, I'm good.
Other doll: Okay!
Teacher: Another good thing you should remember when playing on the playground is to never
push or shove someone, and always be gentle, not rough.
Other doll: Please don't hurt anybody. Jill could have gotten really hurt. Say sorry!
Jack: Sorry, Jill.
Jill: That's okay. I didn't really get hurt anyways. These are all very good reasons to
be safe, and you should remember these when you play on the playground! Have fun on the
playground!
All: Bye!
