New York Habitat Video
Visit - Vacation Rental
Rue Chapon
Le Marais - Paris, France
Hello and welcome to another New York Habitat
vacation rental video tour.
Today we are going to visit a beautiful
2-bedroom apartment
located on rue Chapon
in the 3rd district of Paris.
This vacation rental is located
in the popular neighborhood,
known as the Marais.
Let's check it out!
Entering through a small courtyard,
you'll find a wooden stairway
leading you to the apartment,
which is located on the 3rd floor
(4th floor in the US) of a 19th century
walk-up building.
The entry door of the apartment
opens into the living room.
Here you'll find 2 couches, a TV, a coffee table,
and a library.
This living room area is the perfect place to sit back,
relax and enjoy a glass of French wine.
Wifi access is available throughout the apartment.
The American style kitchen is fully equipped
with all the amenities for preparing meals
during your stay in Paris.
There is a sink, a stove, a microwave, an oven,
a refrigerator and a dishwasher.
Dishes, pots, pans and utensils are also provided.
A table and bar stools separate the kitchen
and living room area.
Bedroom-1 is furnished with a sofa bed,
a small desk, and a beautiful marble-top dresser
with a mirror located next to the window.
Bedroom-2 is furnished with a double-sized bed
and a clothing rack for your belongings.
There is also a bookshelf and a window
with a view of the street,
letting in natural light.
A communal doorway separates the two bedrooms.
You're sure to appreciate the bathroom in this apartment,
with its bathtub and shower, 2 sinks, and mirrors.
Of course, being a furnished rental, towels are provided.
As with many French apartments,
the toilet is separate from the bathroom.
This apartment is ideal for a family
or group of friends vacationing in Paris.
Now that we have seen the apartment,
let's go visit the surrounding neighborhood.
Just a few streets away from the apartment
you'll come to 51 rue de Montmorency,
which is one of the two oldest houses in Paris.
It was built in 1407
by the writer and professor, Nicolas Flamel.
Another nearby attraction is the Pompidou Center,
which houses the national museum of modern art
as well as numerous large contemporary collections.
It was established in 1977
by the former French president, George Pompidou.
With its architecture that strongly
contrasts the neighboring buildings,
you're sure not to miss this iconic building.
The tower of Jean-sans-Peur,
or John-the-fearless in English,
can also be found nearby.
It is Paris' only fortified medieval tower.
It was built between the years 1409 and 1411
by John II, the Duke of Burgundy.
The église Saint Eustache
is a jewel of the renaissance.
It is one of the most beautiful churches in Paris.
The church is as exceptional as its history.
It was at this church that Louis XIV took communion
and the famous French composer, Berlioz, played.
