...There's this dome, and then another one over here.
This is a "Dome House" too.
But it's kind of become a storage shed.
So there are two Dome Houses.
Well, it was originally conceived by an American, called Buckminster Fuller
This rounded construction is his idea.
The design means that you can build a larger space with much less materials.
Which is practical for house building.
But it also means it's exceptionally strong, which is the main reason I built it.
So I put it together all by myself.
Assembling it only took a day.
But finishing the interior and exterior actually took much longer,
This bigger one took around 5-6 years to complete totally
That's because I could only work on it during the weekends,
I just did it in my spare time on my own.
So I think it cost me maybe around 2 million yen to build.
But if you were to buy it, it would cost atleast 10 million yen.
Why? I made it as a music room.
With music, what might be beautiful to me, might just be noise to other people.
So I thought it would be better to have a music room separate from my family home.
That's the reason I built this place.
This one? This one, was always just built for storage space.
The bigger one was always meant as a room where I could invite people over and have parties.
That was the idea.
This one is named after a bird called "Yamasemi"
There's a picture of the bird here.
It's a bird like this with a large crown on it's head.
It's a black and white bird that is really shy,
As soon as a person comes, it runs away.
But it's a unusual bird that is particular to this area.
So I named this house "Yamasemi-koho" after the bird.
Just junk. It's all rubbish now.
It's just full of rubbish...
I'm a bit embarrased, I need to tidy it up.
Yeah I have collected a lot of them.
I plan to make a fence out of old wheels.
But the thing about these ones is,
They are bicycle wheels with dinamo's built into them.
So I thought I could make it so, when the wind blows, they turn,
They would generate electricity and charge a battery.
So I started specifically collecting these old bicycle wheels with generators in them.
