Hi my name is Sura Yekka, I live in Toronto - Canada
and I play soccer for the Canadian women's national team
My parent's are from Uganda and they immigrated here to Canada
and I was born here.
I love my background
I love the fact I'm from Africa. It's a different story.
I'm proud of that I am, I'm not ashamed of it,
But at the same time I'm also Canadian.
My name is Evelyn Yekka, I'm the mother of Sura Yekka.
I was a former African champion
And I went to 1984 Olympics.
From my own experience, I always told them hard work.
They need to train hard. If they can train hard
then the actually game or competition will be easy.
One thing that out of everything my mum taught me when I'm growing up
The most important is probably work ethic.
Like you won't go anywhere, no matter you're doing
you won't go anywhere without working hard
and earning what you want and earning what you deserve.
She'll always push me with good intentions.
She has my best interest at heart. She just wants me to do well
and for me to be happy overall.
When I realised that my mother was an olympian,
I knew I wanted to be Olympic just like my mother.
And she inspired me so much and I work hard because I want to reach the same goal.
It's amazing that Coca-Cola is giving everyone around the world
this opportunity to experience to see the FIFA World Cup Trophy.
It's just such a priceless trophy. It's like the symbol of our sport.
It's just an amazing opportunity that Coca-Cola bring it to Canada.
Everyone is excited. I know I'm excited.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy is everybody's trophy!
