Hello, friends. We're here with Costa Rican "sonero" Chino Espinoza.
Stay with us, because Chino brought his salsa band and we're going to dance.

[Nuestra música con Ernesto]
We are at El Granada, the salsa palace of Los Angeles,
and I'm very happy
because Chino Espinoza and the Dueños del Son will perform a great salsa song for us.
Hello, Chino. Please tell me, what's the secret
behind your band's incredible sound?
Well, in my opinion, the secret is
in the combination of the trombones and the baritone saxophone.
The baritone saxophone, very good. And, of course, your voice>> Thank you.
How long have you been a "sonero"?
Almost 25 years, from the moment I left Costa Rica for Los Angeles.
Since Costa Rica. And speaking of nostalgia and the homeland you left behind,
I believe the song you'll be performing today
has a family connection, right?
Of course! I wrote it and it's dedicated 100 percent
to my mother in Costa Rica,
for her famous "sobao" (sweet doughy) bread and my coffee.
Sounds delicious, so let's listen to it now.
