It's a Coin Explorer Christmas!
Welcome to The Coin Explorer Christmas Show! I'm your host, Steven Cochran. Today, we're
looking at some of the holiday-themed items here at Gainesville Coins.
Something we just recently got in is this 1 kilo proof silver John the Apostle coin,
with interlocking puzzle piece rim. In the center is the image of John the Apostle, gilded
in 24 karat gold. The outer part of the coin is composed of seven interlocking pieces,
each depicting an event from the Gospel of John. This giant coin comes in a beautiful
lacquered wooden box with certificate of authenticity, and was limited to 1000 coins!
Next we have two proof silver Christmas coins from the Perth Mint. This beautiful 2012 1
ounce snowflake coin has a clear locket insert that is filled with semiprecious gemstones.
It comes in a festive package that doubles as a holiday card, with a space for a personal
message.
The other coin is the half ounce 2013 proof silver Christmas coin from the Perth Mint.
This coin features a realistically colored Christmas tree, against a backdrop of stars.
It comes in a classic charcoal presentation case and is stored in a beautiful decorative
sleeve These coin designs are each limited to 5000.
Here's an opportunity to start an annual Christmas tradition, with these 2013 silver art rounds.
We have three designs: Santa, Rudolph, and two snowmen. The Santa and Rudolph silver
rounds have Merry Christmas across the top, while the snowmen have a non-denominational
Happy Holidays greeting. The reverse on all three designs has the date 2013, the motto
of Season's Greetings, with the weight and purity of 1 troy ounce of 999 fine silver.
Adorable and affordable!
Lastly, we have something that, while not strictly a Christmas theme, does relate to
a common holiday tradition. This is a colorized proof silver 3 coin set from the New Zealand
Mint celebrating famous Russian ballet stars of the early 20th century. These coins are
presented in a real wooden music box that plays Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. What a beautiful
gift, and it would really make someone's Christmas.
